We came here on a Saturday night for some food and it was quite a busy evening. Unfortunately the waiter was incredibly rude, slamming down drinks and plates of food whenever he brought them to the table. In doing so, he spilt a substantial amount of some of the beer over my friend and didn't even acknowledge it - someone... More

....with a Wetherspoon pub. Interesting clientele, cheap drink, cheap & obvious food. But there's a gentle reassurance about these pubs!!

Came in for lunch.. first the table was dirty. Ordered food, when it arrived the guy dropped half the panni on the floor and said he would get another (will come back to this....). Daughter had ribs and the guy spilt the sauce over the table and all over the napkin... leaving his thumb mark!! Other meals were ok. Guy... More

I was sceptical about the Bright Helm the first time I saw it as I walked down to the city centre, because it is a weatherspoons and they generally are nothing to write home about for food quality. But I was wrong. I have been wrong and happy to admit that I was wrong! I got in and found it... More

I visited this pub with my partner for somewhere convenient for food before going to a gig at the BIC. We ordered food and understood that there would be a wait because it was busy. 20 minutes later our food arrived - the chicken was chewy and the chips had been deep fried at least 10 times. For a busy... More

I came here with a friend for lunch. When we went up to order food baring in mind the bar wasn't that busy. We were then waiting for for 15 minutes whilst we were ignored and others who came to the bar after us (mostly a hen party) were served before us. We gave up and left in the end... More

This is the best spoon I have been in. I only go for the cheaper beer as normally the staff are rude, in crowd driven and just not up to the task in hand. However this bar was well organised, nice customer skills and a good set up. The toilets were clean and respectable which is a plus as once... More

we went here every morning for breakfast due to it close proximity of our apartment. The service is quick, the food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Well worth a visit for the breakfast alone.
