Visited for midweek lunch with a voucher for the Thali. This was well presented and tasty. Drinks are comparatively expensive. The bill has 10% service charge added. I would not dine there again and pay full price with so many other places to choose to eat nearby.

Had an amazing lunch with my Husband. We had never been before and it is a little hidden Gem. We had the mixture of indian delights and will be definitely going back.

We were greeted by dismissive and slightly angry staff that clearly didn't want to be there on a Friday night. To start, we had flat beer served to us which they didn't appreciate us sending back to them. The venue has no atmosphere, imagine sitting in a dingy church hall. Service and ambience aside, the food was also terrible and... More

Small family run place with decent interior and the food is mainly North Indian. The dishes are tasty both chicken and fish. Staff are nice and friendly

Chaula's was recommended in a Brighton magazine and had an app which I downloaded and booked a table through. The app also offered a free drink if over £15 was spent an a first visit. Nice touch I thought. Food and drink was a bit more expensive than what I usually pay and the bill came to over £60 for... More

We were sat on a bench outside this restaurant as there was a hoo-ha happening in the street and couldn't get to the car. We decided to just pop in for dinner whilst we were waiting. We had no expectations at all, it was just a handy restaurant that we had never been to before. Well what a surprise. The... More

During a trip to Brighton we visited Chaula's for our evening meal. The food was delicious, all the meals we selected were very tasty and the lamb dish was amazing. The staff very friendly and polite. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Brighton.

I have been going to Chaula's for about 5 years, and taken a number of different people there, who have also become devotees! There is great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as plenty of mouth watering meat dishes to tempt all tastes. The staff are friendly and efficient, and there is always a welcome. The prices are... More

Went for dinner at this restaurant as it was very close to our hotel but it was a great find. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - best curry I've had in a long time, particularly the palak paneer.

Description
THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE IN TRADITIONAL HOME COOKED GUJARATI AND OTHER INDIAN REGIONAL FOOD.
We began selling our home cooked food from our grocery shop in Lewes. The reaction was so positive that it inspired us to sell fresh, as well as frozen food throughout shops in Sussex and Surrey. We expanded the business and moved to Station Street in Lewes.

Further success inspired us to open
CHAULA'S INDIAN RESTAURANT IN LEWES 2007 AND IN BRIGHTON 2012. We believe that Indian cuisine is a combination of subtle taste. Flavours are as varied as the climate and exotic as the people of India. The appreciation of spices and combination is an acquired art and can only be achieved after many, many years of studied blending, cooking and tasting.

At Chaula's, value our patron's opinions and concerns in the modern day world of health consciousness- our scrumptious food is prepared only with Sunflower Oil that is low cholesterol and freshly ground spices, without the use of artificial flavours and colourings.
WE ONLY USE FRESH CHICKEN AND MEAT. I have worked very hard to perfect this fine art without compromising on taste and authenticity.

We are confident that after sampling our culinary delights you would agree that there is nothing but the best at Chaula's. We take pride in welcoming you again and again.

WE ARE RENOWNED FOR OUR SIGNATURE DISHES.
"THE FOOD OF INDIA, NOT JUST INDIAN FOOD"
We hope you enjoy the experience.
