A good little pub set in The Lanes. Good choice of beers, typical Brighton prices and friendly staff . Good atmosphere, a good place to call in for a break if you are exploring The Lanes

I just had an 'Artisan' Bagette at The Cricketers in Brighton. Halomi and avocado. £7. Now maybe it was just a bad day, but the bagette was tiny. Never worth £7. If you have run out of bread, either get some more or have sone decency and offer me a discount on the basis that it is substandard. I would... More

Absolute joke, pricing is horrendous, not feasible or affordable- in fact i'm convinced they target tourists and deliberately over charge them to maximise profits as the pub seems to be full of locals who surely cannot be paying such extortionate prices. Oh, and when i say extortionate, i mean it... wait for it... £14.50 for a spritz and a pint... More

Went here with my partner, expecting a reasonable price. Pub looked nice from the outside, inside filled with tack and miserable faces. Ordered a white wine spritzer and pint of Amstel. Came to a shocking £14.50!! Could not believe it. Ashamed that I actually payed. Place did not deserve any of my money. Staff were messing around flipping coins all... More

I've used this pub on and off fro about 50 years and can remember the times when it was run by a charming and caring landlady who expressed a genuine interest in her customers. By contrast there is no evidence of a manager these days. Instead there is a mix of friendly and competent bartenders alongside a number who seem... More

We've been to the cricketers many times as a couple or as a family, never disappointed The bar is very atmospheric and the covered courtyard is lovely. The bar staff were excellent and the food very good and reasonably priced, what more do you want from a pub. A lovely place to spend an hour or two at lunch.

We come to Brighton a lot, and The Cricketers is my favourite pub, whether just drinking or for a meal. The staff are all great, friendly and well trained, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere welcoming and warm. I will be back soon!

In England for my sons school soccer team trip and he and my husband went to the Brighton vs. QRP and I went tour with some of the ladies on the trip. Stopped in here for lunch, great fish and chips, the tarter sauce was just as great! Would go back if I was in the area again!

This is a pub that normally we visit very quickly as we are heading round Brighton stopping for one at each place so I've never really taken it in. Saturday we decided to actually go and have more than one and just suck up some festive spirit from the place. A lot of people rave about the food so we... More

We had dinner at The Cricketers this evening, the pub chosen mainly due to its proximity to our hotel on a chilly evening. To our surprise the food was first class, and the service provided by Richard equalled it. The ham hock accompanied by a crispy boiled egg is not to be missed!
