After seeing the reviews I thought I should say that we were actually quite disappointed with the food; it wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. Pretty average all in all, but rather friendly staff.

Recommended to me by my eldest daughter, this very old Brighton pub in the heart of the Lanes has become my 'go to' pub to meet up with family & friends day or night! Always buzzing & rammed with customers! Great selection of local & national draught beers. Great long serving staff (It MUST be good to work there!) Even... More

Great location in the heart of the lanes. Good selection of beer/Ales and great mid range food. Expect to pay @£15 for a main dish. Lovely to be able to sit outside in the lanes people watching rather than a beer garden.

The staff were so accommodating as we were an hour late arriving due to the marathon. The food was delicious, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We were Disappointed not to have room for dessert because the chocolate brownie sounds amazing. We will have to come back to try it another time.

Located in one of the Lanes of Brighton this is a friendly little pub . You can watch the people walk along the lanes as you enjoy a drink or meal. We had the Sunday roast and it was fine. Not cheap.

Friendly place. We ended up there with the kids, staff are fabulous and so are the guests there. If you are looking for a place to have lunch I Brighton you should consider this one. Quick pints also great.

Needs much improvement before this opens up for food to the public! I cannot recommend this to anyone, very poor standards

Normally this is a pub of choice for town but our last visit was awful. Daughters sausage did not look cooked at all, and first lot had a hair. Second try looked like it wasn't cooked again the inside of the sausage was very unappetising and she wouldn't touch it. Staff were lovely and took it off the bill but... More

This is a tired and dated pub on appearance, but the staff are very friendly, and the food is excellent. Freshly made and highly recommended. We had the Glamorgan Sausages with roast cauliflower (which was actually vegetarian, though did not know that when I ordered), and the Ham Hock Fritters. The food was really nice, and if I went to... Description
However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and locals alike as THE pub of The Lanes.
