We were staying in a bed and breakfast in Alfriston so ate here one evening and really enjoyed the food. So much so that we returned for lunch the following day after a morning walking! Staff very friendly. Great real ale too!

this place is incredible..so much history and the pub is beautiful.. a cracking pint of abbots ale too lovely huge old fireplace and wooden beams bet everyone of the locals loves this place too so atmospheric and its bound to be haunted too
