The Red Lion proved to have an excellent range of real ciders, including one of my personal favourites, the very dry Badger Spit. The staff were pleasant and the place seemed in good order: I didn't see any basis for some of the critical reviews...More

This used to be the best Pub in Swanage until the current owners took over. The place looks like it's falling into a state of disrepair, plaster off the ceiling in the main bar, torn seating on the bar furniture absolutely grubby carpet and the...More

Excellent food and service considering we turned up 5 minutes before the kitchen was due to close , this was no problem to them. We only had a light bite but it was excellent quality . Defiantly would return.

The best pub we visited in town for ale and cider selection (>40 of the latter!). Friendly locals and dog-friendly as well.

After years of family visits, a 11 month old baby smashed a glass. What followed was something out of the "wicker man" on behalf of the locals and staff. Shame
