Had to try it out, great pies ! Reasonable prices. Good service. Would recommend one of us tried the liquor and one the gravy, both equally tasty.

The pies were lovely, as was the gravy. Lovely place for a quick and filling meal. They offer meal deals.

Choice of home-made pies, including veggie version, with lovely mash and gravy/liquor. My sons like their puddings and ice-cream. Do pizzas too. Licensed. Reasonably priced. If you like jellied eels then they do these too! I believe they do their food in take-home versions too

This is a tough place to review. On the one hand, the host is charming - without being too in your face - the decor is (generally) cool, with lots of nice choices, and the prices are very reasonable. But on the other hand, both...More

Description
The Pie House, nestled in Tuckton Village is Bournemouth's ONLY pie, mash, liquor & jellied eels outlets! We are the only outlet serving London's most traditional meal on the south coast!! Keeping the tradition alive!!! We want to keep one of our British traditions alive and we know that everybody enjoys reminiscing on the 'good old days' so we want to bring back a little bit of nostalgia and old 'London Charm' for you to enjoy! Pie & mash can be traced back nearly 200 years and is an important part of London's food history. These shops provided hot, filling food for manual workers and the prices were very affordable. Our 'artisan' pies aren't processed but lovingly handmade using local farmers and suppliers around Dorset. The ingredients sourced are the finest quality available and provided to us from a husband and wife team at The Dorset Pie Company who produce outstanding pies using ingredients that are sourced very close to home. Let's face it, who doesn't like a proper handmade pie, full of flavour with combinations traditional & bespoke encased in an all butter shortcrust pastry? If you want a great pie experience, you're looking in the right place! We even have GLUTEN FREE & VEGETARIAN!! Jellied eels are a traditional English dish that originated in the 18th century, primarily in the East End of London. The dish consists of chopped eels boiled in a spiced stock that is allowed to cool and set, forming a jelly. It is eaten cold.
