Lovely small place that cares about the decoration, interior and most of all food. With a view to a bowling court on the other site of the street with men in white and red polo's and long white pants. Very English.

We turned up 10 minutes before closing and they stayed open for us, great owners who are clearly passionate about what they do. Cream teas were beautiful with proper strained tea! Would recommend.

An oasis of ``olde worlde`` charm.near a busy beach front, delicious cream tea and comprehensive lunch menu. We would recommend the ploughman's lunch, served by helpful friendly staff and owner.

This cafe is nice but the only drawback is plastic tablecloths the most unhygienic table covering , this put me off and I did not stay to eat.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. You state that plastic tablecloths are unhygienic. I feel that I must point out that plastic tablecloths are easier to wipe down with sanitizer and a wet cloth thereby removing any germs as well as any stains and crumbs. Therefore they are more hygienic than cloth ones which have to... More

Found this cafe in a magazine and had to find it so I could have a cream tea as not many places do gluten free. The cream tea did not disappoint. The owner was explaining the care she takes into making the different scones for different allergies. My husband very much enjoyed his farmers cream tea.
