Couldn't get a table at No 7 just up the road so thought we'd try Man Friday's as we'd seen it on TP but never been. The entrance was hidden away on the left down a side alley off Victoria Parade (near The Rockfish). Popped up the stairs and was greeted by a friendly waitress who offered us a table... More

This is our Seventh time to this Restaurant. What can we say the best, has always, if this place was near us in Derby we would go at least once a Week. Keep the great standard up.

I popped here last night (sat) with a friends down from London. I have wanted to try this place for a while so it was my chance. The menu seemed fantastic- sprats on the specials - lobster looked fantastic etc. I tried a scallop Thermidor - unfortunately I make that way better. Why ruin it with potato anyway ? Let... More

visited 4th october. service was excellent and attentive. i really liked that the bread and side dishes were inclusive in the price, and gluten free was provided instantly........that's a first for me. The fish was fresh, fresh, fresh. So the mixed feelings. The Lobster chowder was more cream than flavour. There was more cream on the fish, although the fish... More

After initially struggling to get hold of anyone, we booked a table for 6 for a Friday evening, luckily, this place is quite small and is very, popular. Whilst waiting to be seated couples were being turned away. The staff are very attentive, our waitress never missed anything and was watching out on every table to ensure that everyone was... More

Four of us, two seafood lovers and two meat-eaters had a great meal here. I had the lobster thermidor which was the best and biggest lobster I have ever had. The seafood platter for one was also excellent, and the chicken wrapped in parma ham was also declared delicious. Service was very good; the complementary home-made bread with nibbles as... More

We used to visit this restaurant every time our family came to visit. It was always our treat, the last time, the service had.gone.down hill, not.bringing the correct drinks, but we were dwarfed for.them, and the food.... 2 of us had steak... Medium rare.... Tough, fatty and full of gristle! Not impressed and will not return. Very overpriced for poor... More

Quality food and quality service.. If you like good service, good food and a welcoming ambience then this is the place for you. Staff helpful and attentive. I always look forward to dining here and it feels like a special occasion on each visit. The "specials" are worth taking a look at.

just returned from Torquay and just had to add our review to those who have already been, we ate lobster thermidor which was sooooooooooo good, we were served promptly and the staff explained the available meals, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to return if we are in the area.
