Popped in for food with my family. It was a great meal and probably the nicest chips I have ever had. Looking at the interior it looks like a place focusing on people going for a meal rather than a drink, but the drinks they...More

I went to the Lopes last night with a group of friends for our Christmas get together. The meal was absolutely amazing, in fact I would say it's the best Christmas dinner I have ever eaten outside of home. It was hot, well presented, cooked...More

First visit in over a year. The pub has had a substantial amount of money spent on it and the results are brilliant. The dining areas are really nice, there’s also a few sofas for lounging. We ordered 2 x Sausage and mash. Decent, hearty...More

I had not eaten at the Lopes for nearly twelve months. It had then enjoyed a great reputation for its meals. The local sourcing of its meats being especially good. Arriving for our booked table I was delighted with the 'recent' refurbishment. The décor now...More

As we pulled into the car park I was unsure where my friend was taking me. The car park smelt like kitchen grease but totally not what I expected when I entered the pub. Beautifully decorated, with different shades and matching furniture, some larger than...More

Very traditional village pub on the northern edge of the city of Plymouth convenient to a large local community but much used by travellers on their way back from the rural hinterland and especially Dartmoor. Fair good value selection of mid to low priced traditional pub food in a classic setting. Well worth a Tripadvisor entry.
