Eaten here a couple of times before and the welcome has always been friendly, especially for the dogs when love the free biscuits! The food is great value for money and very tasty, my wife and I have both just had an amazing French onion soup. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a great lunch.

I have walked past this cafe many times but never went in. Then I heard it was dog friendly and I gave it a go. Wow I was not disappointed. The people running the cafe were so friendly and welcoming.... to us and our dog! The cafe inside is what I would describe as shabby chic which I love. The... More

We visited here for a coffee as it had just started to rain - tasty coffee and lovely homemade carrot cake. It does have a sea view outside.

We wanted something hot to eat as it was a cold Sunday in November ! We were spoilt for choice here, lots to choose from on the menu, from ham, egg and chips , beautiful fish and chips to a surf and turf burger! All 100% yummy 😋 We had the dog with us but kept nice and snug under... More

Lovely cream tea with fresh warm scones. Even though late October we managed to sit in the garden and enjoy the view out across the sea. The staff were all very friendly. The whole family had a cream tea and the dog had a doggy sausage which comes all cut up in a bowl for 50p of which some goes... More

We visit Duttons almost every week. It's great for a quick lunch, the sweet potato chips are to die for ! Also great for s relaxing coffee and a scone. Amazingly dog friendly - dogs welcome inside as well as outside and ask the staff are obviously dog lovers. There are always dog treats freely available as well as doggie... More

Beautiful day, mid-afternoof stroll from the Barbican to West Hoe. Fancied a cup of tea and, as actually passing Duttons, popped into the garden area where the family took a table. Queuing to place order inside took ages, although the ladies taking orders were friendly. Inside the old building, it all looked pretty cramped, tired and old-fashioned. Tea was ok,... More

This was an impromptu pit stop, we had just missed the busy lunch period which was good as we only wanted a drink. Found the lady behind the counter to be very friendly, wife had a cream tea and I had a coffee. The view was superb, it did help being it was a nice sunny day. You had the... More

The place has inside and outside dining facilities. I had a Caesar Salad, which was expensive given what it was. Possibly and I mean possibly half a chicken breast, a slice of bacon, iceberg lettuce leaves, a boiled egg and some mayo. No tomatoes, not even a decent dressing, and what the egg was doing on there I have no idea.... More

Excellent coffee and food in a great location. Very dog friendly with free treats and water and for 50p you can buy a pot of doggy sausage which is great with all the profits from this supporting dog charities.
