Despite the fact the car park is in the way, the patio overlooks the marina, so it is a lovely place to sit in the sun. The staff are friendly, and the menu has small dishes to nibble on whilst drinking, but also a full menu. We just had nibbles, a couple of tapa - to accompany our drinks. These... More

Lovely position, overlooking Plymouth Barbican, mount batten and the boats outside the bar. We sat and munched on tapas from 12-4 in the sun, no coats, wine and good service. Clean area, tasty food and reasonable prices, will be returning. Not a 5 as I felt good was not exceptional, but very enjoyable. A real gem and the salon next... More

We have been coming here for years and love it. Stuart and Sam are always friendly as are their staff. We've had lovely food always hot and tasty. Enjoyed the fireworks here last August. Fantastic brilliant chill out spot and the Estrella is fab.

We are always taking our guests here to impress about Plymouth or whenever we need to chill out. Owner and staffs are very kind and friendly, great selection of food and drinks. Especially Teriyaki beef and Bread & butter pudding are the best we ever had! We are so lucky to have place like Chandlers in our locality.

I recently had to find somewhere suitable to hold a good send off for my brother who had died suddenly in a diving accident abroad. I road-tested Chandlers twice in a week and found it to be perfect. Consequently last Friday approximately 150 of our friends and family went to Chandlers at lunchtime. We agree that it was the perfect... More

Somewhat belatedly catching up on this review, as I went here with a friend in mid-August on the first night of the National Fireworks Championships. Having done some research on viewing options, my friend suggested this place as it is in Queen Anne's Battery and right opposite the quay off which they fire. We phoned ahead to check availability and,... More

We didn't eat here, but had a lovely few pints in the sunshine at the front of the bar watching the yachting world walk by. The outside tables and chairs weren't pristine, but clean enough for us. Inside looked good, and the bar person wasn't busy, but it did take a long time to be noticed for our first round.... More

Ordered two drinks and a burger, had 3 bugs in lettuce in burger, I informed the waiter who was every apologetic and sorry and informed the chief, the manager then came out and asked if we wanted free drinks but felt rather put off by the food so turned down the offer she then offered to discount on meal I... When you sell chandlers I'll buy it and show you how to run a restaurant by the sea. I'd start by knocking 50 items of your menu. People who own boats or like to be by the sea you would "think" liked being outdoors and liked fresh . how can a restaurant by the sea (or 4 mins from the... More

Description
A well established bar and bistro doing a brisk trade in above average pub food. Situated on the Queen Anne's Battery complex just to the east of the entrance to Sutton Harbour Plymouth alongside the larger busier of the active yachting marinas this place offers above average food, has a large popular outdoor eating area overlooking the Marina and Plymouth Sound. This is a good place to eat and drink and although well known to locals especially sailors is just a bit off the beaten track for other visitors. Worth an entry.
