Two things from me - firstly, I went to the effort of downloading the app to write this review. Secondly - I don’t write reviews. Just been to the eastern eye to pick up a take away on the way home from the worst shift...More

Go and visit this small restaurant in the centre of Plymouth! Akalam made us feel right at home and personally ensured that all of the dishes served were of exceptional quality. Don't be put off by the extremely colourful interior and decorations; the food here...More

I have been going to the Eastern Eye for years and still have yet to find a more flavourful curry than is served there. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will suggest a dish that suits your preference if you can't decide what...More

Had a meal here midweek with a few work colleagues. Not busy so seated quickly and also served for drinks and starters quickly. Ordered mains and food was very good. Chicken shaslick was especially tasty. Well worth a visit.

Our food was very good. Quirky items on the menu - 'Philadelphia Special' and 'Staff Curry Special' stood out as being something you wouldn't normally expect on a menu. The dishes we ordered were very good - very rich and reminiscent of trips to India...More

No frills but really brilliant food, some unusual dishes but large portions beware, We took what we couldn't eat home with us, and it was superb.

We dine frequently at the Eastern Eye. From our very first visit the food has always been excellent and the standard of service superb. Kalam is very proud of his restaurant and works very hard to maintain his high standards. He always tries to take...More

I chose to eat here following some outstanding reviews on TripAdvisor. I am a regular and experienced curry eater and in my opinion this is a very average curry house. Service was ok, nothing special as reviews have alluded to and the food was ok...More
