Those lovely people at ASK sent my wife a birthday voucher and we enjoyed spending it today - her birthday! We went at lunchtime and were offeed a good seat by the window and radiator - ideal for a cold day. The restaurant was warm and the staff attentive - but not overly so. The food we ordered was superb... More

Ask Italian is a quite note restaurant chain in the UK (note for foreigner). I visited this one in a lovely sunny day for my first time in Exeter. The historical building where the restaurant is located is stunning (I suppose a convent) as the rest of buildings in the area. I have had an aperitive with a friend of... More

We were fitted in despite large groups and although we were warned of a 40 minute wait it proved to be less than this and the waiting staff were attentive throughout. The food was pretty standard pizza/ pasta etc but was well presented and tasty. All the deserts we wanted but hey they were real busy and extremely apologetic I... More

I ate here recently and it was a very enjoyable meal out. The staff were really nice and so was the food. The restaurant was very busy so we had to wait a while for our food but I can only see that as a good thing. Would recommend 100%.

I lunched yesterday together with my two daughters and three grandchildren. We didn't book but were shown to a table for 6 quite quickly. They didn't have one of the items chosen although it was only about 1.00pm but that didn't matter too much. Most of us were pleased with our choices, although one of my daughters thought her dish... Ask Italian is a wonderful pizzeria. Over the past two times I've been here it's been a really positive experience. The staff have such lovely personality's, nice quick service and they didn't rush us like in some places I've eaten in before they do. Love the location that this is placed in too. Every so often me and my family... More

We have eaten here a lot over the years. The last few experiences have not been as good. We were meeting friends and thought they were late-however we discovered 2 of us had been put in one room and the others in another room! When we realised (I went searching) we had no apology and I had to juggle child,... More

Eaten here a couple of times and enjoyed the experience. Food good, service good, atmosphere good. maybe you could stretch it to "Romantic". For us the disappointment is the prohibition of being able to have a drink outside overlooking the Cathedral Green on a sunny day. (You might notice from our reviews of restaurants in this part of Exeter that... More

The ASK Italian restaurant group boasts an excellent Exeter venue, situated in a stunning period building on the green next to Exeter Cathedral. The ASK Italian restaurant has recently gone through an extensive refurbishment. We've created a restaurant with a distinctive new look inspired by modern Italian design. And with the help of our expert friends, including awarding-winning chef Theo Randall, we've created a menu that features a range of simple, classic Italian food and an all Italian wine list.
