Another good lunch at this restaurant. Great moules. Poulet grillee was very nice. The breaded chicken also good. Steak frites was tasty although the steak was overdone. The galette complete was OK - a variation on a croque madame - nothing special. The Lagarde red was good. Service was very good. Cote is very popular - it's a pity they... More

Have been here several times before when in Exeter for work. Ordered from set menu, pear endive goat cheese salad Risotto Apple crumble ALL very tasty and beautifully presented. Unfortunately salad starter came with dressing that included mustard (which I can't eat). They were very kind and brought replacement without dressing with no fuss whoever. They then advised that my... More

We,a mature couple, booked for a lunch that turned out to be a beautifully sunny day. This added to the occasion as we were seated upstairs overlooking the Cathedral. The service was excellent from polite quietly friendly staff. The food was also excellent and I definitely recommend the pork belly as a main and the Pain Perdue was an exquisite... More

Came to Exeter as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. Loved that this restaurant overlooked the cathedral and was very romantic. Staff were friendly and helpful and we spent a good few hours here. I would recommend booking in advance as it was very busy. My only criticism of Côte in general is that there is a very limited vegetarian... More

After checking out the place online we decided to book a table for dinner. Although the restaurant was still full at 9:30, the service was excellent. Food was perfect, truly recommend it to everyone. Their creme brûlée can pick up the competition with my grandmother's. Well done guys 👏👏👏

The restaurant lives up to the good reputation of all Cote Brassiere's that we have eaten at. Nice staff and good food and wine. The best thing is the upstairs part of the restaurant. Make sure when you book that you ask for a window table upstairs, where you will look over the green to the Cathedral. Well placed behind... More

Brilliant restaurant, recommended for all types of occasion. I have been for family meals, meals as a couple and large group bookings and the restaurant has been spot on every time. Food: simple, well cooked, good quality food. The kitchen is very accommodating of dietary and 'off menu' requests. Gluten free and vegetarian options are plentiful. Puddings are highly rated.... We took advantage of the offers that we received (after our trip to Cote in Salisbury last month) to make our first visit to dine at this restaurant. We were very impressed with the location, and layout of the venue. We had booked online for an early evening table for two and we were not disappointed. The manager suggested that... More

Very tasty brunch. Nice setting with a good view of the cathedral and good decor. The staff are attentive and friendly and prices are average.

A relaxing dinner with my wife to celebrate my birthday. This was our third visit and the best so far! Baby Gem, Bacon and Egg Salad and Chicken Liver Parfait starters, superb Streak Frites with a beautifully dressed Green Salad side followed by Creme Caramel and a Dark Chocolate Pot desserts. All excellent and with friendly service! Will return on... More

Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities.
Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.
