Stopped off at The Fat Pig with my boyfriend for lunch. Quirky decor, great home brewed ales and spirits. Boyfriend had the smokehouse platter with a pint for a tenner which was excellent value and the hand reared meats were delicious however on the other hand I opted for a bacon sandwich with salad which cost 8.50 without a drink.... Without a doubt the best smoked ribs I've ever eaten!!! Any time I would go back for those!! Cider was local and really delicious too (sorry I cannot remember the name as I didn't order it in the first place either). It's a quite small quirky pub with a nice outdoorsy seating space out the back. Would recommend it to... More

A busy, quirky (very) little back street pub with an unusual menu. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu is very pork orientated but there are a variety of other dishes to choose from too. Portions are too big and I would have preferred more vegetables to balance the meal. Prices were reasonable

It's an unpretentious, warm and welcoming pub and eating place .If you want it to be a pub then there's an excellent range of beers, some of them brewed on the premises and several spirits also distilled in house. The clientele is a mixture of locals regulars and curious visitors. If you want to eat there's a newly slimmed down... More

We met up with family, there was four of us, for a meal and drinks Saturday night. The food was very good, I had sausage and mash, my daughter's boyfriend had a meat feast which was huge and looked delicious! The staff are lovely and friendly and it is very good service. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

I come here every time I am in Exeter as the food quality is very high, service is good and the menu changes regularly so there is always something new and interesting to try. This evening I had two delightful starters and two exceptional deserts. I would highly recommend.

I have visited at this pub before and thought very highly of it so decided it would be worth trying the food (mistake). Whilst initially, it was hard to get through to book a table, by all accounts the food came out piping hot, dry and with little taste, looking as if it had just come out of the microwave... More

The Fat Pig is a pub with real character in a back street 100 metres from Fore Street, an extension of the main shopping street through town.It is fairly small, but has a extended area in what was a covered yard. The food is good. It serves mainly its own ales brewed on the premises; this is ok if they are... More
