We last visited Angela's a couple of years ago (also when Saracens had lost to Exeter!). We thoroughly enjoyed our return visit. The food was fantastic and Angela and Richard are perfect hosts. We would always aim to return on any future visits to Exeter.

As someone who eats out almost continuously in London I was really impressed by the quality, style and effort made with the high quality local ingredients. We had a wonderful salmon and crab roulade, followed by perfect steaks and a delicous turbot and scallop dish. As master chef fans the presentation would have really impressed the terrible twosome. Thankyou, both... More

We were welcomed by Angela, who gave us very friendly and attentive service throughout our meal. There were quite a few other diners and a nice atmosphere. The confit duck leg was lovely, set off beautifully with raspberries and fresh baked rolls and the turbot and scallops in an orange beurre blanc was to die for- I think the best... More

We went out for a friend's birthday meal and it was a lovely evening. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and they decorated the table really nicely even though we only mentioned in passing it was someone's birthday. The food was delicious - I had the lamb and it was beautifully cooked! I would recommend it. Not the cheapest... More

It was a great surprise, the owner (Angela) took the orders, suggested some wines, I loved Rioja, Los viñateros, 2012, oaky. I and my wife loved the place. Considering the high quality of the meal it was not expensive including 2 courses, a bottle of wine and a glass of prosecco and dessert.

Came here with friends who were paying as a treat. None of us had been there before. Service was polite and efficient. Unfortunately the Starters we had were almost inedible - the Confit of Duck was just so salty. I ate about half of mine to show willingness and not make our friends notice, but it was so salty that's... More

This is a beautiful family-run restaurant with lovely ambience. The food was stunning, very well presented and simply delicious. The menu offered great variety but particularly impressive fish courses. Would definitely go again for a special evening.

Went there with my wife, student daughter and elderly Mother to celebrate a major birthday and to catch up with my daughter. Excellent first class service and delicious food at a fair price given the very high standard. Special consideration for my mother who is only able to eat a little because of a serious illness. Most of the other... More
