Excellent food, service, and presentation. Right by the Harbor and fish merchant, we watched as the boats unloded their catch and The Mote picked up their seafood - fresh.

Came to The Mote for the Sunday roast, very nice topside of beef with a huge Yorkshire pudding, perfectly cooked roast potatoes, parsnips and plenty of other vegetables. One of the finest Sunday roasts I've ever had when eaten out!

Like most who visit Port Isaac we came due to the Doc Martin link, they make it look so idyllic. The Mote has a prime position right in the heart of Port Isaac by the harbour slip way seen many a time on the programme. There is stiff competition with a number of restaurants around but what sold me was... More

Had an excellent steak here 2 years ago. Was in Cornwall again recently and went back for more. The decor has been upgraded, the steak is still supreme. Great quality cut cooked to perfection. Perfect peppercorn sauce. Staff and service also excellent.

Ate here with a group of friends and we were not disappointed. The crab linguini was the star of the show but our mussels were a close second. On to desserts and my friend ( who knows a thing or two) gave her Sticky Toffee Pudding a 9/10, her highest mark yet on her STP Nationwide Testing Programme. Helpful and... More

We are on a tour of Cornwall and this is our first stop. As "Doc Martin" fans we went all over the town and settled on the Mote for dinner. We met a local and said we made a great choice, he was right! My wife had a great soup of broccoli and goat cheese, followed by a beet, pear... More

Eaten here a number of times, including a lobster and chips after getting engaged an hour earlier! We went for lunch on the essential Port Isaac visit (as much for the Buttermilk fudge as for the chocolate box scenery). Mussels, a ham sandwich and the special Tiger Prawns were washed down with some local beer, cider and a glass of... More

Bad slow service. Had fish and chips. Fish practically non existent beneath the batter. We're given chips which were obviously the last of the chip basket - overcooked and some burnt.

We came to Port Issac for our honey moon 7 years ago and this place was amazing then - different & quirky but now it's cold in it's decor and un-homely. We had lunch here and was pricey for what you got and was very average. The owner who was of Eastern European origin ushered a dog (that was on... More

Port Issac is so beautiful and this restaurant is just on the edge of the harbour. The service is very good and the staff are very friendly. The food is very good indeed and I would definitely go back.
