Visited here with my boyfriend a week ago (Feb 15th). From the menu and reviews on here we had high hopes and when we arrived we were instantly impressed with the setting and interior - very cosy and relaxing, lots of open fires and fairy lights. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The main problem for us was the quality of... More

Went for a belated birthday meal for my wife whilst on holiday during half term. We visited the beach during the day and the location is stunning. Booked a table for the following night. Food isn't cheap (comparable to miller and carter) but it's lovely. I had the pan fried Beef fillet and the wife the steak burger. Both lovely... More

We had a couple of meals here and everything was really great. The kids liked the hot rocks, but the other food was good too. Special mention for the moule which were fantastic. Our waitresses were all great and nothing was too much trouble. It wasn't too expensive and all round a great evening and the entertainment was good too

Great location although the 134 steps back to the cliff top are a test after a 3 course meal and a few drinks. Meals we Ok, but aspects disappointing. Very Overpriced but you are paying for the location.

Went here for dinner last night with my girlfriend. The location, ambience and décor of this restaurant were perfect for a cosy winters night. My only gripe was the standard of food, which left us slightly deflated. We had both been really looking forward to eating here and judging by the majority of other reviews we had high hopes. Unfortunately... More

This restaurant is in a fabulous position overlooking the beach but couldn't enjoy that on my evening visit. Decor is good and the woodburners amazing but the food and the service was disappointing. Because we were a large party we were asked to pre-order but the food came out in drips and drabs so we were all eating at different... More

Was hoping to eat at 530pm on the 14th only to find I couldn't eat at all and there seemed to be an obstacle placed everywhere I wanted to sit by the person behind the bar. Finally found somewhere to sit and drink only to be asked to be moved whilst I was still having a drink. Felt very much... More

We went with several friends for a birthday meal. We ordered starters, mains and deserts. The scallop Thermidor starter was amazing and everything else perfectly fine. The mains we ordered we're all top quality, the burger given it was the cheapest thing on the menu was perfect. My wife and I had the hot rocks surf and turf which really... More

Not our first visit and it won't be our last. Booked a table for two and glad we did, even in February it was nice to see the place buzzing, had the Sunday roast option, first class roast beef. As we were in no rush we left our table and settled down on the sofas next to the fire, ordered... More

Description
Lusty Glaze Tripadvisor Beautiful brunches, leisurely lunches, cosy coffees and seaside suppers... Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant is nestled just a short walk from the centre of Newquay, on the North Cornish coast. Come rain or shine Lusty Glaze serves up freshly cooked and locally-sourced culinary delights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. With a beautiful menu specially created for each season, as well as some rather tasty specials and the ever popular Hot Rocks, this beachfront dinning experience is not to be missed. On a warm evening, it's easy to forget you're still in Cornwall! As well as hosting weddings and our legendary Headliner Sessions, we also hold a free live music evenings featuring some of our favourite local artists. Spanning a range of different genres, these nights are always special, as everyone relaxes and unwinds, glass of wine in hand, soaking up the atmosphere. And even with a focus on top-notch food, it is still very likely that your chairs won't match, your spoon and fork may be different patterns and your waiter will be wearing flip flops... after all, we are still the laid back family-friendly restaurant that we always have been!
