The Architect it`s a great place for lunch and dinners. They serve traditional pub food of very high quality. Also the selection of drinks are good and of very high standard. We went here for lunch. It was very busy, but we did get a seat. It might be a good idea to call in to reserve just to be... More

The pub is a mid range pub with a wide selection of moderately priced beverages to suit all tastes. A perfect pre race pint!

A group of 5 ladies met up here as it was a halfway point. I've been to all the other pub/ restaurants in the group before, but tis was my first time here. It was as lovely as the others (better, in fact, than the Cross Foxes) We had lovely food, served by attentitive staff. It's a winning formula.

Traditional old English pub. Great cask ale selection. Plenty of seating ranging from pub to family to formal to a large outdoor area. Wild boar burger very good. Fish and chips looked outstanding.

Visited here this Sunday 23rd as me and the wife were staying in Chester and had seen this stunning looking building a few times we thought we'd give a go. Took time to get a table as it was busy and we hadn't booked which is our fault to some degree. Had a drink while waiting good choice of beer... More

It was extremely busy due to the warm weather and a bike sale and we had to wait 40 minutes for our meals. However when they arrived they were well presented and tasty. The restaurant is an excellent location overlooking the race course with lovely gardens no wonder it was busy.

Spent a long Friday afternoon here with 4 other friends. We were having a school reunion so drinking first then eating. Staff were excellent. One of our group was a wheelchair user but there was absolutely no problem in having his needs met. All the waiting staff were faultlessly polite and attentive. The food was also very good value. Good... More

Visited for a meal late afternoon with my family - food & service were ok but very disappointed with the lack of choice on the menu for small children. The staff didn't seem very experienced. Heard lots of good reports but wouldn't rush back here - especially with my young grandchildren - definitely a place that prefers to cater for... More

Absolutely lovely place. Great surroundings, staff were excellent. The food wasn't cheap but of very good value for the quality and a classic you get what you pay for and the portions were actually surprisingly large. Would definitely recommend and go again

We had lunch here recently and have to commend the location and food. Although it is very close to the centre of Chester it is opposite the race course and if it there was racing one would be able to watch from the pub. There is seating outside which would be lovely to use on a warm sunny day. It... More
