From start to finish, possibly the best meal ever, service professional and yet warm. Food excellent and savoured every mouthful, ok so there are no windows, but it's a wonderful comfortable place to eat a meal. Wines chosen with the sommelier to complement our meals were excellent. Have every intention of dining here again

I'll be brief. The restaurant is bunker-like without windows, the staff highly professional but without any warmth, and serving us in a rather perfunctory manner. It was all a bit 'sixties' Rather than sit down to lunch immediately on arrival, we elected to have an aperitif at the bar. Staff seemed a bit irked by this and had it not been... More

Several weeks ago I rang the Grosvenor to book a table for 3 in the a la carte restaurant. The receptionist asked me if I wanted the abrasserie, I said no! The a la carte restaurant. The night I wanted to go was full so I opted for last night. She told me the only slot was at 8 15... More

Cocktails excellent, fabulous food. Highlights were the cheese selection and the steak. Service impeccable, décor not amazing and ambience bit flat but the food made up for it.

I was given the fine dining experience as a gift. The food was stunningly good as was the service and surroundings. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a special place to eat.

Most elegant surroundings to enjoy your afternoon cup of tea. High tea featured a variety of sliced sandwiches, fresh made scones with jam and clotted cream, and incredible desserts. Bring your wallet tough, High Tea at the Grosvenor is pricey and will not replace dinner.

Perhaps it's me as numerous reviews of this restaurant are superb; however, being well travelled and lucky enough to enjoy many good meals, I consider myself to be a very reasonable reviewer here. Let's start with the positives: presentation of meals - superb. Bread choice: excellent. Knowledge of staff: very good. Unfortunately, the theatrical show surrounding hubby and I made... More

I was staying at the Grosvenor, it was my birthday and a celebration meal seemed in order. The evening commenced with a very well made Martini in the cocktail lounge, ruined in part by loud music not in keeping with the rest of the setting. The staff were somwhat functional rather than welcoming, this was unfortunate. On into the restaurant... More

This is a Michelin starred restaurant and our friends had been dying to try it out. The food was beautiful and I really enjoyed the combination of tastes and flavours. We had the tasting menu and I love the mackerel and rhubarb combination. All the food was exciting. Some of the accompaniments were a bit unneccesary. How much can you... More

Description
Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
