I wish the food matched the welcome and service we received which was very welcoming by the lady behind the bar who could not have been more helpful and lovely. Sadly the potato skins were luke warm and a little hard and the plough mans which I didn't think you could get too badly wrong had a small piece of... More

As the lady who served and welcomed you and the owner of the lazy otter, I am sorry that the food did not match the service. I have raised points with my team of chefs to avoid there being any repeat complaints concerning these dishes. I can only offer my sincere apologies and hope that you will choose to join... More

I have been to the lazy otter a few times, and have always enjoyed my visits. A great place to get the family together for Sunday lunch. Great food, reasonable service and a well stocked bar. There is ample parking even when they are busy. Worth a visit.

We booked here for a table of 19 for a 40th celebration- the first time in a while we've been here. Good food, decent portion sizes with fabulous service - very friendly, big smiles and genuine customer engagement. A tad expensive for what it is, however it is clearly a popular place and can host a variety of occasions.

Good service with very pleasant staff. The problem with this Sunday lunch is that it clearly heated up. The beef bordering tough, the huge yorkshire pudding cooked / over heated to death. Same as the roast potatoes... Starters, main, pudding and bottle of wine £71 for two. Truly wouldn't rush back, Food for the masses, over-cooked, over-heated, over-rated.

Recently visited with friends for an evening meal, staff friendly and efficient, bar and restaurant clean and welcoming. It was a case of an evening of good company and old fashioned pub grub and whilst three of the four meals were excellent the fish and chips unfortunately left a lot to be desired, Both the fish and the chips were... My husband and I visited here on the off chance on the way home to Long Sutton, Lincolnshire from Stone Cross in East Sussex. It is in a very attractive location on the banks of the Old West River near Ely. The banks were covered in daffodils and there were numerous colourful boats around. I had wild boar and apple...
