Went at this restaurant with my wife. I enjoyed the local touch in particularly the Suffolk sourced vegetables, Scottish lam and scallops. Delicious. French waiter were very professional and good advisor for the combination with wines.

Went with friends to celebrate my partners birthday and every element was excellent. Great service, good food and fine wine.

I can definitely say this really is an excellent restaurant, even though we went for the shorter, and somehow simpler, lunch menu. I have to say I was expecting a little more avant-garde, in some sense (it used to be nicknamed "the fat duckling" after...More

My husband and I are real foodies and have been considering a visit for some time and we were not disappointed. The 5 course lunch far exceeded our expectations, the attention to detail and service really is first class, the staff oose passion and enthusiasm....More

Our second visit for lunch, and again the whole experience was great. Lovely staff, pleasant surroundings, superb food, and well complemented by the flight of wines. We did NOT think the tables were cramped -almost the opposite. Also, it was refreshing that there were no...More

This was our fourth time at MSH, as we visit every year for my girlfriends birthday - it is her favourite restaurant. This was our first time visiting for lunch, failing to consider that we would have to pay for parking (with parking normally free...More

Overall quite disappointing - I had been several times and years ago was visiting a few times a year. Unfortunately the décor is minimalistic and tables are 'shoehorned' in to accommodate more covers. Having said that food is excellent but VERY expensive - much more...More

This was our fourth visit to Midsummer House in the last couple of years. It's definitely a place for special occasions and has never disappointed. The 5 course lunch menu is our usual option with an additional cheese course thrown in. The food is an...More

Very expensive - expect £200 a head including wine - but simply amazing. Food you can not get elsewhere. Great flights of wine that match the food perfectly. Can not rate it enough. This is not a restaurant - it is an experience you will...More

8 course tasting menu with their flight of wines, about £250 p/p. Wonderful food but difficult to give you the menu as it changes regularly.

I think it's a set menu, which includes meat and fish. If you ask in advance, they may serve vegan for you.
