I've been here recently for the hot pot, which is poor quality meat and poultry. The chicken tastes of jelly and the beef is ridden with fat. Plus all the labels are mixed up at the food counter. The normal dishes are much better quality and I would recommend that instead of the hot pot. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

I ended up here by chance with my missus and we both loved it. I don't know what it is but I'd say that: food is positively different from your normal Chinese takeaway or chain, as far as I could see there's only one chef and he stirs and cooks while wearing smart trousers and white shirt (what a class!!),... One of the best Chinese meals I've ever had: interesting, generous dishes, seemingly authentic (as the large number of Chinese customers suggests), and extremely good value. I can't begin to imagine how it manages to achieve so many bad reviews as well as the many more ecstatic ones. The ambience is not quite to my taste - too bright and... More

Best restaurant in Cambridge. Very affordable, not greasy, very authentic. Simple layout. Also nice hotpot. The lunch deal is the best you can get.

I noticed this restaurants for a few days. At last found the opportunity to try it this afternoon! Henan Huimian is exactly the same as I once ate in China. Would like to visit again to try other dishes!

I love this restaurant - I came in here quite often, ordering various items off the menu (never had hotpot though - must correct!), but my absolute favourite is the Henan Noodle Soup - a simple spicy broth, filled with black fungus, kelp, beef, tripe and beautiful thick al dente noodles. There's a counter at the side where you can... More

Bayne 大老爷 CANADA I've been enjoying Chinese food throughout the world since 1983 and I have to say, if you want really great quality traditional Chinese food, then try this restaurant you will not be disappointed. They are more than reasonably priced for the portions you get. One £5.00 curry chicken on steamed rice was enough for me. Whoever wrote... More

Came to Cambridge with a friend for the weekend (beautiful city btw!), walked past this place as was looking for lunch, glad we turned back around. The food was amazing I had a guilin noodle soup, which was out of this world! Yeah the décor is so-so but it gives it an even more authentic feeling, lunch for a fiver?... More

Good lunch menu and very reasonably priced. Lots of dishes to try and most items cost around £5 a dish (includes rice etc). The restaurant is a bit on the shabby side, but I enjoyed my lunch and would happily return.
