3 of us popped in for lunch. A friendly welcome from the staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Food is very good I had a homemade beef pie that was really nice. My daughter had a veggie burger that she also like. There is also a good selection of deserts and wines too! Next time I'm in there I'll be sampling... More

Let us count the ways in which we love thee....excellent beer, hospitality, and multitudinous chips! The Wheel is one of the staples of Wycombe Hashing, and long may it continue...it just keeps on turning, generating consistently reviews...a bit like a wheel! We hash (i.e. run) from a different pub each week, and regroup back there afterward. We mark each pub... More

Me, my partner and my dad came here to eat for our weekly catch up. It was such a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very polite and friendly. There are 2 beautiful Labradors in the restaurant and they were friendly and were kept under control by the staff. Overall a very good experience and we would definitely come back!

Start for our walking group with parking one Tarmac the other quite muddy. On return our table was reserved and pre booked meals were served in relative quick time. Beer was good and served by cheerful and attentive staff. The food was good but not special and the free wifi did not reach the area where we were located. Worth... More

Popped into the Wheel Tuesday with a friend and our two dogs for some much needed re-fuelling after a long, muddy beautiful walk around the Chiltern Hills. From the front, there is an extensive drinking garden to the left (that looks like it was well used in the summer months) and big car park in front and to the right... More

The wheel and staff are friendly and helpful. We have been there on numerous occasions , and have held a 18th and 21st there. The staff couldn't have been more professional. Chef's Chilli is fabulous, as are their steak nights. They have loads of regular customers, that eat or just drink, and Daisy and Amber as well as the staff... More

Roast dinners for 4 people were cold on cold plates. Parsnips were hard, some unedible and left. . Meat (Pork x 3 and Beef x 1) was tough and not much of it. The apple sauce served for three people I could have eaten in one mouthful and served in a tiny ramekin dish. When asked for more it was... More

Description
The Wheel is a traditional English Pub that dates back to the Late 1700's. We are situated in the heart of The Chilterns with great walks and very near Hughenden Manor. We are an award winning Real Ale Pub, that also has awards for food. The pub has two great gardens and also has a great smoking area. This traditional pub is dog friendly, muddy boot, family friendly and has great space for all your needs. You can get to us by bus from High Wycombe on the 300 bus route.
