We had lunch here sitting at a table with views over the harbour. The sirloin steak was cooked as ordered and good hand cut chips.

Friendly staff, interesting menu, food was good quality, but it was the river terrace which made this restaurant special.More

Last visited in September and another very enjoyable post race lunch (Half marathon September, 10k this time). Table by the balcony so we had a good view over the river on a lovely Spring day. Short menu but good choices - very refreshing tomato salad...More

Hi runner of wine (or with?), Thanks so much for your kind words, the tomato salad is a big favourite of ours at the moment. A great seasonal dish for such beautiful weather we are having at the moment. Due to our seasonality, we do...More

I was worried when it was taken over by a “chain” - thought standards would tumble and service would suffer. So glad it is just as good a ever.More

Hi Robin, Nothing pleases me more to hear that we have maintained such high standards even under our now relatively new owners. We can't believe ourselves that it has been almost 18 months since they took over. Please do pop back sometime very soon as...More

We had lunch here in April, very good food. We started with mackerel which was lighter and less fishy than I was expecting but very tasty. After I had pork shoulder which was some of the best pork I have had, almost like a cross...More

Had dinner last night. Friendly service and great food. Menu is small and interesting and executed well. Lovely surroundings. Finished off with a drink in the bar downstairs which is elegant and cosy. Highly recommend.More

We loved the food we had here and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is modern in decor and at one stage was a little rowdy, which was why I didn't give this review 5 stars, but the noise may have been...More

Hi there travelling lady, Thanks very much for your review and is such a shame we missed out on those golden 5 stars. It can sometimes get a little noisy on busy days and especially where you were sitting, we have noticed the acoustics are...More

I would have thought you would be okay as there is upstairs and downstairs seating and it is never overly busy but I would still try to reserve for a large party if possible.
