Went for dinner on a Friday night. It was busy but comfortable and I can't fault it to be honest. A wide range of mains to choose from and the duck I had was excellent. Good and friendly service, tasty food and sensible prices. Dog friendly too!

My family and I came here on the 24th December for our Christmas meal as our original Christmas Day plans fell through last minute :( Turns out to have been a blessing in disguise! Firstly, super dog friendly! My girls are two little Staffordshires and they had such fuss from all the staff and little treats here and there -... More

We had lunch at the LD a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Both the veggie and the meat options were really tasty and the beers were also really good. Our friends had a dog with them so it was much appreciated to find a dog friendly pub close to home. We'll definitely be back in the near future.... More

Wanted a drink with two friends, to talk. Great selection of lagers and ales. Lovely looking bar with lots of wood! However, it was ridiculously loud. I couldn't hear what my friends were saying without leaning right across the table. Watching the bar, I could see customers and bar staff making those 'I couldn't hear what you said gestures'. When... More

Had Sunday lunch for 3 in this restaurant/bar. Read a recent review saying that portions were small. That review must have been written by a member of Family obese! My husband and daughter ordered the lamb and I ordered the beef, We waited about 15 minutes and our meals were brought to the table. Loads of lovely top quality meat... More

We'd been stuck in traffic for hours on the way home from Devon to Derbyshire, tired and hungry we decided to call off in Bristol for a break. Googled dog friendly pubs and this one came up, so pleased it did. The pub had a great atmosphere, with a mix of people, families, students, couples, older people ... we had... More
