Nice walk out along the riverside. The food is nicely varied with specials each day, if you order a pie expect to have more food than you can eat. Nice range of beers as well.

The Grain Barge is a well preserved old barge offering a fantastic location on the river/docks. The food and drinks are very good - particularly the Porter Ales! Service is very good too.

Excellent food with plenty of vegetarian options, and a lovely view of the harbourside. They also offer a good selection of beer and cider. The butternut squash pie is divine

Three of us ate here last night and thought the food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the Caerphilly and Leek Tart and the Chestnut and Spinach Wellington. The Chocolate tart for dessert was also super smooth and delicious. Will definitely return.

That was my husbands comment as we left so it must be good. I had the burger which was equally as tasty. Staff very helpful & attentive even though it was quite busy. We had reserved a table which I'm really glad we did as there was a group in at the far end of the boat. Good value for... More

Having visited on a cold rainy night in December, I think it would be nice to go back on a summer's evening and enjoy the waterside location. It's quite a casual set up, you order drinks and meals at the bar and food is then brought to you. Staff were pleasant and efficient. The menu is quite small but everyone... More

Beautifully presented, great view over the harbour, friendly casual drinking and dining. We pitched up with 16 family for a big holiday get-together. Apart from having to order everything at the bar, the whole experience was easy and friendly. Plenty of drink choice, lovely food, excellent value!

Generally, the TA reviews are accurate - and those for the Grain Barge were no exception. Friendly staff, good pub food and a pleasant atmosphere with the added bonus of nice river views. The bread and oil starters were very good indeed. The steaks were excellent, the burger was yummy and the chicken and ham pie delivered as it said... More

This was an extremely reasonable and enjoyable Sunday lunch experience where so many eateries in Bristol are rather pricey. Excellent choice of Sunday roast cooked and served well. A good family venue with lots to see on the river.
