With an elderly dog and mother in tow, the Bluebell provided a warm welcoming sanctuary on a cold and wet Easter Sunday. We had prebooked for 2pm but were welcomed early due to the poor weather. The food was good and comforting with large portions. The atmosphere was jolly and, having eaten here several times before, we were not disappointed.... More

We visited for dinner. We are a family of 4 (2 teenage boys you can't fill up - you know the sort) - OMG - we have never been so well fed. We each had a starter and a main course. There was absolutely no way we could have eaten a dessert although I'm sure they must be as fabulous... More

Called in for Sunday lunch and although they were busy we managed to get a table for 2. Sunday lunch comes in two sizes - small or large - we both ordered the smaller ones and did wonder if they had got they mixed up! The portions were very generous and more than enough for us. So much so that... More

Decided to have our evening meal here after looking for a place near our campsite that served up hot wholesome food. When we arrived the place was very busy with people eating and people waiting but after chatting with the landlord he said he would likely have a table in about half an hour. And as good as his word... More

After a day out we fancied something to eat and saw the Bluebell Inn which looked like a quaint country pub. On offer is an extensive menu which include their 'special recipe pies'. It is evident that the Bluebell Inn is popular with locals in the area. Both our meals were tasty and offered good value for money. Had we... More

Sign says best ale, best pies, best chips and they are right. A huge menu usually mean low quality food but the pies were stunning and everyone else enjoyed their food. Great beer garden with play area for the kids and very friendly staff. Good detour from the tissington trail. Thanks

A group of nine of us were booked in for lunch after a cycle ride. We were later than planned, having had a puncture on the trail and we arrived in dribs and drabs. We were made very welcome. The Old Speckled Hen ale was in top form, so was my cup of tea. There was something on the menu... More

I try to call into the Bluebell whenever I visit the peaks. Over the Christmas period it boasts some fine roasts and in the summer the specials are always hearty and you get good value for your money. I disagree with certain reviews that the staff are rude and the place is not dirty. Over Christmas 2016 my friends and... More

13 of us arrived for lunch without a reservation which was unfair. However, we were made to feel welcome, a table big enough for us all to sit around was sorted quickly, and our food orders taken promptly. Food came within 30 mins and was fantastic. Lots of lovely yumminess! We were full but couldn't resist the tempting dessert menu... More
