Took my Mum and 8 year old son to this pub. Service was excellent. Sunday roasts were huge. Wide range of vegetables included in set price. Interior of building is traditional old pub. Nice change from the restaurant chain type venues. Well done!!

Went with friends on a Saturday night. Were seated upstairs in pleasant surroundings. Good service and friendly staff. The halibut was off the menu which left limited fish options. Food quality was very good.Prices were reasonable. Well worth a visit.

Only discovered this place fairly recently but have been three times in 2 months. It’s a quaint quirky building with relevant history/pictures on display. The food is delicious and the staff welcoming, accommodating so helpful. Despite my cheeky granddaughter toddler being a pest at times...More

The pub is actually owned by the church opposite and they employ a team to run it for them. I understand - as has been said - the the current people have been there for a year or two.

I believe the Castle Inn has been under new management for about the last six months and is gaining a strong local reputation for its restaurant.
