We stopped here for lunch last month and were very happy to find them open and ready to serve us some great food. We love ethnic food and Black Salt Cafe provides a delightful variety of menu items to choose from. I had the soup & hubby had the special. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. The atmosphere is warm... More

Gem of a restaurant in a tiny town, the Black Salt Cafe provides private tables screened by clusters of plants and small potted trees, and serves delicious meals unexpected in this location. Scrumptious food, lovely choices on the menu, and definitely a great place to stop while checking out all the artisanal wares in Crawford Bay - or while touring... More

Busy place so we ate dinner elsewhere (with kids, timing was important and the owner warned us that it was a very busy night and the wait for food was longer than usual) but went back to get dessert after dinner. They were delicious and beautiful with great service.

I took the time to review the Black Salt last year and I am doing so again. Our extended family visits the Kootenay area for two weeks every summer, and we frequent the Black Salt at least every other day on our bike rides. We keep going back because the atmosphere on the outdoor patio is wonderful. After four visits... More

A real eating expierence. We had 5 dishes shared between the 2 of us.( just the right amount for us.) The shrimp was the best, but the other dishes were a close second.

We were on our last lag of BC road trip and decided to stay in Crawford Bay before heading back to Alberta. We heard about Black Salt Cafe and decided to give it a try. The food was amazing! We were so surprised by the quality. We ordered the duck confit (juicy!), corquettes (it's a must), fries (so delicious) and... More

Epic as always, both black salt and pizza at The Hub down the street are always reliable and delicious! Great portions, amazing flavour with both the lettuce wraps and cowboy Pacino that we ordered. The pomme frittes (fries) are totally worthy and a must for side order. Service is often on kootenay time (somewhat sloooow ) but part of the... More

You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We always make a point of stopping in whenever we are out this way...and each time I'm blown away with how delicious our food is. The owner is warm and engaging and the space is inviting and comfortable. My tastebuds are sufficiently tantalized and my heart is happy!

Okay, first off, the food was great. When it came. Which was unbelievably slowly. I mean, at least half an hour between finishing one dish and the next coming out - no explanation. Not cool if you're with adults; not possible when you're with children, as we were. Nevertheless, and I'll say it again: GREAT FOOD! The server was kind... More

All the food is delicious here, but the fries are out of this world delicious. Our group had the Vegis croissant sandwich, the bratwurst, and the cowboy panini. All were delicious.
