We enjoyed our lunch at L'Étrier! The food was great, and presented with care! I invited friends from Montreal, and wanted them to taste food from the Region. It was a success!

We finally had a chance to visit L'Étrier. This little gem of a place has everything: cozy ambiance, excellent service, great food supplied locally and served with attention and the price was quite reasonable for the level of food quality.
We went ( two couples ) today with a 19:45 reservation. Our mains came 2 hours later, without any explanation, nor apology. Service was somewhat courteous, but very slow, cold and unapologetic. What’s more, the crab cake was almost crabless and the small filet mignon...tasted like boiled bavette. The presentation was good, but a very expensive meal with bad and unexplainably slow service, mixed with just average food and an incomprehensibly aloof staff is a combination that we would not wish to repeat and will certainly not recommend!More
With 2 friends- no reservation needed late on Friday evening. Servers were more than accommodating in French and English and food was solid from apps to dessert.
This is indeed a lovely place to dine in a beautiful setting in Bromont, Qc. We received a warm welcome, and the service was attentive and friendly. One of the delightful owners visited all the tables to inquire if all was well. The food was...out-of-this-world - first class! We would definitely return, as it was a highlight of our weekend holiday.More
We like low key, modern decor with charm and this restaurant has it. Our waitress was lovely and encouraged me to try the boudin (blood sausage) dish which I never had before. Hard to describe exactly how good it was. Lovely spice and texture, served...over a fine layer of apple sauce and some lovely mashed potato. Unbelievably good and at the same time, comfort food. We also had the tomato tart and it was yummy. They are killing it in the kitchen. Best retaurant we enjoyed in the Eastern Townships.More
Charming , good service , excellent quality of food..." produits du terroir " The atmosphere is relax , polite and inviting . The menu varries with the products of the month !
We had a wonderful lunch at L'Etrier. We had the three course meal for 18 CAD that was not only delicious but great value. I had the duck salad which was terrific. The soup starter and dessert were also very good.
The wine list is very good and well-priced. We had the leek and potato soup to star which was a lovely start on a chilly night. We had the seafood casserole and the mignon boeuf. The beef was cooked to absolute perfection, with the crusty horseradish...adding a wonderful layer of flavor. It may be the best steak I've ever had! The service was very good and accommodating to anglophones!More
I enjoyed my meal. For my main course, I had bison. it was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Others in our party also remarked on the the quality of the food in presentation and taste. The soup was also delicious. The menu is not extensive....A table hote is offered. Better to offer less and make it well.More
The food was wonderful ....Local cuisine served in gourmet style (zucchini bisque, grilled lobster, risotto, fiddleheads and chocolate tourte for us). (The hosts picked the fiddleheads that day in a forest nearby). Wine list with products from the nearby wineries. Table d'hote is highly recommended....Nice atmosphere and Impeccable service. One memorable meal in Bromont, Qc.More
We have always had a great experience here. The seasonal menu items are always great. One of the top restaurants in Bromont Take reservations for dinner.
One of the best evenings my wife and I spent in a restaurant in a long time. Cozy ambience, good music, warm welcome, top-notch service, excellent food and fantastic wine. Several wines are imported and reasonably priced. Way too many restaurants in Quebec simply offer...wines from the local wine distributor but at two or three times the price. Unacceptable in 2015! We ordered the RockBare Shiraz, delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.More
Tried this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was quite busy when we got there. Local meat menus with wine from the surroundings. My girlfriend had the Duck (a specialty in the area) and this is by far the biggest portion we...received in a fine dinning restaurant. The best part, it was delicious! I tried the fish and it was very good also. I like the fact that they have some wines in 250 mL format for when you want more than one but not necessarily a bottle. I definitely recommend if you're looking to taste local food.More
We arrived on a Friday evening when all the other restaurants in town were full. There was only a few tables taken, the rest of the restaurant was empty. We had always wanted to try it as the setting is charming. The menu was full...of tempting dishes and we ordered too much, but every thing was very good and the sauces were wonderful, but the service was slow in spite of the few tables taken. It was expensive for the area, but worth it as the ingredients were top-notch and the wine suggested was wonderful but we may not go back as it lacked atmosphere and personality for a restaurent in a tourist area. The only warmth we felt was when we mentioned we were locals, then the service was less brisk and we got smiles.More
