Visited the restaurant Labour Day weekend. We all chose some type of steak which were cooked to perfection! They accommodated my allergy and brought me an extra order of fries - which were to die for! Our waitress was pleasant, funny and had an excellent...memory. We would definitely go back.More

Service was terrible. Ignored for most of the night. Food was so-so at best. Had 2 spectacular meals in other restaurants. Very surprised my how mediocre this was. Wine list was lousy as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed going out to eat and enjoyed our meal at Pinocchio. The service was excellent, and though, as we've found in Magog, speaking French is pretty much necessary, they did accommodate English speakers. The menu was in English, and our server had a...good ability to converse in English. We were most impressed with a Scallop Ceviche - it was delicious. The waiter strongly suggested the risotto made with lobster bisque and a prawn. The combination of the risotto with the prawn was delicious, but only one prawn left a great deal of rice. The rice alone was too salty for our taste. If they had added in one or two more prawns, it would have made for a more satisfying experience. The desserts were delicious but not unique. We sat on the outdoor covered patio, which was lovely but a little noisy even when the restaurant wasn't fully booked. Price for value was extremely good.More

My daughter and I spent a fabulous valentine dinner at Pinocchio. We chose the table d'hôte - the salad was delicious with very fine tasting dressing - the oysters a true delight - the cod and the pintade were very nice main courses . The...dessert was the perfect finish: lime pie. All this with a very friendly service.More

Good food, overpriced and absolutely horrible service.Oct 2021. Our superb appetizer (scallops carpanche) and aperitif were wonderful. The service quickly went downhill. The waitress took the mains however no enquiry as to side dishes ( salad, vegetables or fries). The meal was steak/lamb and FRIES…...UGGH. We were forgotten between the servings 30min wait at least. Red Pinot Noir was brought instead of white Cote de Rhone NOt satisfactor Will not return or recommend !More

We went with the Table d'hote, with the carot creme which was delicious, the salmon tartar, the flank steak which was ok but not great with vegies and fries sides (were great) and the raspberry sorbet for desert which was also great. Overall a good...place. On the expensive side considering the steak that was ok but by no mean greatMore

Nice restaurant in downtown Magog. Unfortunately we found the food to be quite ordinary for this type of establishment and price range. The rack of lamb plate was fine but underwhelming. The fish of the day was the Islandic Cod; unfortunately this was not very...tasty. The Scallops Carpaccio was by far the highlight of the evening. Service was good and attentive. However, when the bill exceeds $200 for two, you expect excellence, which Pinocchio does not deliver.More

We spend a great evening, the food was tasty. We ordered a "simple" salad but it was a chef d'œuvre! Overall a best of Magog

We traveled to Magog last weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. I had made a reservation at Pinocchio based on recommendations both here and from friends. We were a party of four and each of us had a different entree. Our server was Caroline and...she was the best. All four of us have worked in the restaurant industry and Caroline’s service, knowledge of the menu and her personality made the evening very special. There had been some delay in the kitchen apparently that really did not impact us greatly, but we were treated to after dinner drinks, a selection of amazing pastries and the smiles of several wait staff as they delivered my husbands desert with a festive sparkler in honor of his birthday. The food was excellent and I could go into great detail about it, but were it not for Caroline and the generosity of staff and owner...it went from a great night to an amazing night. We will certainly go back upon our next trip to Magog.More

Tripadvisor led us to this good restaurant. Major road reconstruction in the neighbourhood has impacted access to these businesses, but the restaurant was pretty full anyways. We sat on the terrace and enjoyed a pleasant evening of good food and good service.

We were looking forward to a nice relaxed good meal after reading the reviews here but were extremely disappointed. teh ordered 1/2 doz oysters which were good. I ordered the Angus flank steak (medium) and my husband got the nordic salmon incl soup & dessert....My medium-cooked steak was horrible - chewy and inedible. First time I had to send the dish back. Then the waiter suggested Mussels as that would be the quickest replacement. My the tie the mussels came my hsband had alreayd finished his (ok-ish) salmon . Teh mussels was good. However I was very disappointed that they charges us for the steak instead of the mussles. The kitchen is extremely slow. It took 15 mnts to get our dessert and it was almost 10pm and it was not too crowded.More

This restsurant is nice and the food is good, but it is pricey for what you get. In my main course I got beaf and French fries, but no vegetables. Who still serves a main meal without what should be elementary (French fries don't count...as vegetables)? If I was back in Magog, I'd try another place, but it was Ok I guess.More
