This is a pretty nice place for a leisurely lunch overlooking the river. Food and service are both good.

We went with the three-course menu on the patio overlooking the water. It was very good, and reasonably priced.

Description
Garanteed to "WOW" your taste buds! One might wonder about the unusual name chosen for the restaurant. The owners have decided to highlight the year in which was held, the first municipal council of the town of Magog, 1855. As for the word, « TAVERNE », it describes perfectly, the casual atmosphere that the owners wish to create. It will be a warm place to gather, accessible to all and without pretentions. The chef Éric Garand, promises : « Every item on the menu is prepared in house while using carefully selected high quality local products. The menu will include some of my classics already praised by our clients! » The experienced sommelier, Jinny Dufour, will ensure that the wine selection is meticulously chosen to match the daily menu.
