Stopped in for lunch on our way to Tofino and we're sure glad we did. The food and the service were fantastic! I had the pub style cod which was melt in your mouth delicious. So light and tastely, not at all greasy. My friends...More

First we checked Trip Advisor and then headed out to find the restaurant in the pouring rain. When we found the place closed, we looked across the street and there, was Bare Bones!!! Lucky us!! What a neat place. A simple, healthy menu made ordering...More

Stopped by Bare Bones Fish and Chips twice - on my way to Tofino and on my way out. Quite a character place since the building was a church. Two-piece Halibut & fries & a pint of pale ale for $30. Ordered the 2-piece Halibut...More

Three sorts of fish. Cooked in three different ways. With salad and/or fries. Beer and wine available. Good service. Pleasant surroundings. Nothing negative. Moderately priced for well-prepared and well-served food.

Excellent food and service in a remodeled church. The fish was excellent and tasty, the batter wasn't heavy at all. The service was fast and friendly. Loved that the building used to be a church and still had the stained glass windows.

The whole family hated it! Just ate it and had to post how bad it actually was! It was bland, tasteless, no seasoning whatsoever! Had to mix ketchup with the tasteless tartar sauce to actually swallow the Panko crusted cod, no halibut, but the battered...More

Excellent halibut in panko crust with cole slaw & fries and tartar sauce! Good local beer to accompany dinner. One-piece fish dinner was plenty.

We can grill the fish so it is gluten free. We also cook the fries in a separate deep fryer from the battered fish, so they are gluten free also. Owner
