We visited this restaurant because my son thought the name was hilarious. The decor shows this place appeals to the snowboard and ski crowd. The menu offered interesting versions of common dishes. The service was friendly and slow. The food was good.

Despite 35 degree temperatures outside, inside this location (opened nine years ago) we found fast friendly service in a pleasantly cool family style atmosphere! Reasonable prices and delicious fare. Highly recommend the garlic chicken pesto club ciabatta and also the pulled pork bun.

Yes it is. As the Village Idiot is, I believe, a food primary restaurant children are permitted as late as they're open.

Their website says 'hours may differ' on Christmas Day - so it isn't saying 'closed'. You may want to call them - number on their website is 250-837-6240
