We just left the Bean cafe at Brackendale, $29 less in the picket book and really upset by the whole bad experience. My order tasted bad, I returned it and reordered only to be told I had to pay for more! When I questioned this,...I was told that they couldn’t give me something else “just because I didn’t like it!” Hold on a minute, isn’t that what customer satisfaction & service is all about? Now we’re in takeout lineup at McDonalds...More

Excellent coffee and baked goods. Go early if you want cinnamon rolls, as those run out. But everything looks good. Scones are amazing. Picked up sandwiches one day for a picnic. Excellent bread, but the filling was on the sparse side (egg salad).

Amazing spot to relax with a nice coffee. Small, and quaint, but still able to consistantly give a good product with a big smile!

This was a busy place with people coming and going. It was also one of a few coffee shops in town that actually open before 8am. The coffee was good, though not outstanding. The treats looked amazing and our muffin was good. The cinnamon rolls...looked amazing and I'm still wondering if I should go back to try one! Unfortunately, this is a place that charges for refills, which put me off, especially when you first opt for the mug over the paper cup to try and be good for the environment, only to find out the mug is significantly smaller.More

Took my mom for an early morning coffee and a treat from their homemade bakery goodies. We decided on a cinnamon bun, it was a hard decision because everything looked so good. I must say.... we were very happy with our choice. They have got...the BEST cinnamon buns ever! You gotta get there early though as they sell out pretty quick. Busy little coffee shop, the service was great, fast, friendly service. We will be back!!More

Don't expect the best coffee...the cappuccino wasn't strong enough, no foam and too hot (the milk was burned...)

I live in Squamish and only go to the Bean Cafe if I have forgotten to buy my coffee at the original Bean in West Vancouver. It's bee four years now that we stop there about four times a year. I'm really sorry to say...that the staff is just totally inept. The scale for weighing the coffee seems to confound everyone. This last time, the girl must have set it for a kilo instead of a pound of coffee. The bin was absolutely mounded with coffee and she struggled to try and put it all in a one pound bag. It was just silly watching her do it. She asked for help and the person who did assist ended up overfilling the bag and then taped it shut. She kind of avoided our eye contact as she put the rest of the coffee back in the bin, as though she thought we had paid for it and she was just 'slipping' it back. We cringe when we have to go in there but they do have the best freshest beans in Squamish. Which is no credit to them but to their head office in North Vancouver. They are the ones doing the good job. Really guys, get on some serious staff training.More

Camped overnight at Wonderland, just south of Alice Lake. Bad sleep, so needed a good coffee. Bean is just across the Highway in Brackendale, about 1 km away. Opens at 5.30 which is great, as all others in the area open at 8....the place was...hopping at 7.30. Good vibe, nice people. Did not have any food, but the wraps looked good. Burly men eating delicious looking Vegan Huevos Rancheros!More

We called in here several times for coffee and breakfast. The girls are quick, friendly and fun and the coffee is the best we could find north of Vancouver. The locals frequent this place so we are not alone in enjoying what this place has...to offer. They have lots of different beans for sale as well. This is a quality coffee place.More

The baristas are very friendly and serve a good coffee. For people who need or want gluten free, they offer goodies that aren't too sweet but are gluten free. Occasionally they also have very good Spelt scones for those of us who just can't tolerate...modern wheat.More

Excellent chai latte and an awesome ginger snap cookie that was huge. If you want to grab and go a brew this is not the place for you, as the service is a little on the slow side.
