The owner is/ head chief is Noelle. Absolutely amazing and humble lady. She makes amazing sushi just the way you want it. If your not sure what you want let her surprise you and knock your socks off. Absolutely tasty and I have eaten sushi in Tokyo. Thanks.

Have eaten here for both lunch and dinner. The staff are friendly and efficient. The sushi is very good (a bit pricy for dinner). Would recommend that you try when you are in Kincardine.

I'm a big fan of Korean cuisine, especially Bi Bim Bap, and recently found Akima House online. My partner and I shared a seaweed salad and edamame for an appetizer, then each had the BBB, chicken with one, tofu with the other. The salad was perfectly sweet with sesame seeds on top, the way it should be. Edamame could have... More

We had heard they prepared and served great sushi but we didn't believe it. Well we were wrong! Place is small but cosy. Ordered Sapporo beers, the special which was very good and a selection of rolls and sushi pieces. Friendly, quick service. Closes at 9pm so don't plan to go too late.

Akima house serves really nice sushi, sashimi and korean food. The fish is tasty and fresh, with beautiful presentation. The servers are friendly and efficient, and we frequently get a complimentary "amuse bouche" from the chef while waiting for our entrees.

Being from the west coast I'm a bit biased about sushi however the food was okay! We went as part of a business dinner on a Monday night. We ordered starters, a big boat of sashimi and a plate of sushi. While good the cuts of fish were very small compared to what you get in other cities closer to... More

I was a little Leary when my friends said I was about to have some of the best Japanese food, and we walked into a resteraunt attached to a Howard Johnson... The resteraunt was beautiful and completely separate. We ordered a giant sushi boat and I was not disappointed! The food was fresh and tasted amazing. Location and service is... More

Akima House catered the New Year's Eve gala "Gatsby Style" at the Sutton and the food was delicious! I've never eaten sushi before, or seaweed salad but i went back up for seconds and loved every bite. Thank you for a wonderful evening :)
