Their wraps and grilled sandwiches are perfection with different mixes of veges and meat etc. Soups and salads also terrific, Of course this place is known for it's many varieties of coffee too. Lemon water available to help yourself. Staff very friendly and very busy...at lunch time, so go a little later.More

For a coffee shop they really don’t know how to make espresso. Too much water and not enough coffee in the shot. Double espresso was about 4.5 oz.!!! One of the few times I’ve left a full cup on the table. The food was good.

Would not have found it on our own. It was raining so we ducked into a toy store and asked about a place for lunch. It has a huge selection of fancy prepared to order sandwiches (both meat and vegetarian, likely vegan as well, although...I am not positive). It also sells specialty coffee and desert treats. It is small, with some tables for 4 people and a section with a few comfy chairs. My chicken with guacamole, cheese etc., was delicious. My wife had the guacamole cheese and veggie wrap. Not wheel chair friendly, and as the name describes it a few steps down in the basement level.More

The Bean Cellar is an experience, not just a restaurant. It is in a basement, and has all different tables and chairs, and a very friendly staff and owner who will make you what you want if it isn't on the menu. Great food and...coffee and atmosphere.More

The bean cellar is a little hidden but for those who know it, they never forget about it. Great local hangout.

Kay and her staff are pros when it comes to the breakfast/lunch trade. Coffee is excellent - fresh and lots of options. Food - try the Meat Loaf sandwich, Guac-Chicken wrap or just about any thing else.... staff is jovial and remember each regulars favourites.... To bad theses guys weren't open for dinner - they'll do well!More

There are a lot of coffee shops in Owen Sound but this one is my favourite! It has a quirky atmosphere and a cozy feel. I don't think I've ever seen it empty! The menu is absolutely massive and there are always fresh baked good...on the counter. Lots of wraps and sandwiches to choose from. You can purchase coffee beans here as well. There is a sign offering gluten free wrap options (I have never experienced this for myself however). Drinks are great for value, the sandwiches and wraps can get a little pricey but are well worth it. Iced coffee and italian sodas are my go to but there is always something new to try. Staff are very friendly and enthusiastic so do not hesitate to ask for recommendations! Will definitely be back soon.More

I love love love the Bean Cellar. I grew up in Owen Sound and now live abroad, but we stop in at the Bean Cellar whenever we are back to visit. We actually try to stop in a few times as my list of "favourites"...is too long to do otherwise. We were just back for a visit in July and it was excellent as usual. Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure that the stroller in the picture belongs to us as you can see the airport tag and all. Keep up the good work!More

This is our go to lunch spot and it never disappoints! I recommend the pineapple curry chicken pita. Yum! They have several kinds of coffee each day as well as many teas and hot chocolates. Sweets too!

What a quaint little restaurant and hangout for the artists in the area. If you are looking for a healthy place to eat and a great place to meet one of your artist friends for a coffee this is perfect!

I must have walked past the restaurant a few times before realizing that it was downstairs. Walking in was an experience that a lot of restaurants lack. That of a very bubbly staff, eager to serve. Because the menu is large and varied, I was...practically walked through it with a smile, laughter and suggestions. The food, needless to say, is excellent and the prices are very fair for what you get. I will be back for sure.More
