Very intimate space - good for solo, couples or small groups. Fantastic menu, food quality surperb and the service was uncomparable.

Food is ok, but not worth the high prices. We spent over $100 for 2 people, mediocre wine by the glass selection. Service is nothing to write home about. The tapas concept is new in Canmore, hence the hype. Wouldn't be anything special in a larger city. Tourist trap.

Great food and excellent service. We went on a Friday night and there was a classical Spanish guitar player, very cool. Try the mussels!

Pricey and special place. At least try the dessert! They fit us in without reservations. Good wine list. The food is excellent and the timing perfect. Will return!!!

What a lovely little old house converted into a restaurant where everyone is crammed in. If your table is upstairs, the stairway entrance passes right by the kitchen door and the hostess will knock on the door before we pass just so that the kitchen staff know not to come out. Fantastic tapas to try. We ordered 5-6 different things... More

Mussels with blue cheese sauce are the best - followed by a great variety of delicious tapas!........

We came for sangrias and Tapas. We took all of the suggestions of our bartender and loved everything! This was such a nice treat! Make sure you make reservations...though hanging out at the bar was lovely as well.

We liked this restaurant the one other time we were there some years ago after a long and arduous hike in the mountains with friends. Today, we were in Canmore related to my partner's research project [she did a series of interviews in Canmore and Banff] and found ourselves wanting food before returning to Calgary, so we caught up with... On my first night in Canmore I visited Tapas restaurant to catch up with some friends. Found the menu lacking in vegetarian options. The plates we did have were good. Service was also good. Overall good night. Would have enjoyed myself more with vegetarian options and quicker service.

Hi Vickie, Thank you for sharing your feedback and we are happy that you did enjoy your experience for the most part. That said I will mention to my service team about speed but we generally average one and half to two hours for dinner. As for vegetarian options I would like to mention for others that may be coming... More

Giving it a rating of 2 ... probably a 3 except for the reputation they failed to live up to. My wife and I had 5 Tapas dishes starting with Carpaccio, then braised lamb, portobello mushroom, figs and chorizo and finally baby potatoes with aioli and chili flakes. The mushroom was the best of the bunch but everything was average... More

Hi Rod, Thank you for alerting us to a poor experience which is not normally the case. The items that you ordered are generally very well liked but perhaps the preparation was not proper on your visit. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly to discuss james@tapascanmore.ca . Kindest regards, James Kendal More

Description
Oted most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies, we are tucked off Main Street Canmore in a charming character house. Tapas offers the lively fusion of Spanish and Old World flavours created by our kitchen team. We have designed a menu of specialty dishes that are prepared to order from the freshest ingredients available. All stocks, sauces and desserts are made by our Chef Dan Purvis in house. Our menu offers gluten free and vegetarian options. Share several plates amongst friends in the intimate dining room with Spanish style murals and high back leather chairs. We also have an eclectic attic with slanted ceilings and low windows which is great for small parties. Don't forget to visit us in the summer where you can enjoy tapas on our Mediterranean- style deck with lovely al fresco ambiance. And most importantly, be sure to try our house made Sangria (white or red) or choose a lovely Spanish Cava or wine from our Wine Menu. Want to bring your own wine, we offer a $25 corkage fee as well.
