This is our first time dining at the Lord Nelson Inn. It was a Friday night and there must have been skittles on that evening. The bar was bustling and the atmosphere was pleasant. There was a tempting array of sandwiches on the bar, unfortunately...More

Four adults and three children is often not a recipe for an enjoyable Sunday lunch out, but The Lord Nelson seems to cope admirably. We arrived in good time, and the adults shared two roast lamb dishes, which come with roast potatoes, vegetables, and a...More

This is an excellent, friendly and relaxed place to eat. The steak specials are very good value and desserts are of high quality if a little expensive for a village pub.. Service is always prompt and staff attentive.

Very friendly staff, great pint of 6X, good wine selection and food was very good especially the Peach and strawberry brûlée desert which came with the nicest shortbread biscuits I've ever tasted. Very enjoyable family meal - thanks guys.

Good cooking here! Shoulder of lamb for two. Friendly service. We booked a table in advance but it wasn't really necessary this time. We will probably go there again.

Had lunch there today (Weds). Wide choice, excellent pub food. We took the £12 for three courses. Reasonable sized portions meant we could tackle a pudding without feeling too full or too guilty! Very friendly atmosphere with courteous service. Well done.
