Lovely old pub in gorgeous spot in Norwood. Vibrant on the Thurs night we visited with attentive staff and about a half dozen things on the menu that sounded excellent - hard to make a decision but the meals we had were just delicious. I’ll...definitely be back again and again - keen to try the rest of the menu. Wish this pub was down the end of my street!More

Had booked in for lunch the other day and requested that it was in the front bar. When we arrived though it seemed that had just been forgotten and we were placed wherever was free. Which worked out okay because it was a nice spot....Then I went up and ordered a rose with ice, the ice was put in first and filled the glass leaving a thimble of rose to be poured in afterwards and I was still charged full price. We then go to order planning on ordering some entrees and then mains later, they tell us they can make sure that they come out spaced. So we agree to order that way, the entrees come out and when we haven't even finished half of them they ask if we want our mains, twice. This place has definitely declined in the last few years, at least the food still tasted good.More

was a special day of catch ups with some friends who havent seen each other for a long time, after a slight mix up with our booking, that was rectified with a complimentary drink, we were placed on a table that ended up being the...best spot for us - the sun was coming through the window and we all had great meals and more bubbles ! Jacob was very friendly, attentive and looked after us with a smile (noticeable even under his face mask!) - thanks so muchMore

Had a flight stopover from the Northern Territory back to WA, and had a few hours to wait in Adelaide. Did a quick google search of places for lunch not too far from the airport (had a hire car). The Colonist looked interesting so that's...where we went. Built in 1851, it is quirky, welcoming and cosy. We were a few minutes early for lunch and the only ones there so got a chance to look around at the various seating areas and the menu. Sold! Lunch was great, as was the service, and the glass of SA red wine I had. Great place, thoroughly recommend it!More

If you are handicapped I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. The treatment my friend experience by the Gaming Manager Luke 145747, was deplorable. There was no conversation about the possible challenges my friend has, it was a judgmental and incorrect assumption of my...friends, demeanour. Wrongly assuming he was heavily intoxicated, when in fact he has, physical challenges due to a brain injury. Very disappointing.More

I have never visited the Colonist on The Parade but we were looking for a quick casual lunch recently while working in the area. What a great find! The interior of the pub shows creativity and character, something sadly lacking in the corporate pubs that...sadly dominate Adelaide. Service was casual professional and the meals were not only value for money but one of the best schnitzels I’ve had for a long time. I look forward to visiting again soon.More

No overseas travel this year due to Covid. Loved the outside so popped in. The inside is amazing. A must do when in Adelaide. Very rustic. Thought I was in another country. The good was delicious too. Staff great.

Not the biggest Schnitty and not the cheapest but certainly top quality. When asking staff how they et them so good I heard that they house crumb and clean their oil out every single day. It definitely shows. Other menu items look and taste amazing....Great pubMore

Now that it is Sunday I think your question has probably already been resolved. On Saturday they are open till about 2am, but the drinking areas outside close earlier about midnight.
