This restaurant is recommended by several guides. It is very small and specialises in seafood. It is located on the Cannaregio Canal, with most of the tables outside by the side of the canal - a fabulous setting for evening dinner. There is no menu...More

The food is good and the prices OK. The problem is that you dont enjoy it because the service is most disagreeable. Waiters are overloaded with work and must be underpaid - it is quite obvious by the way they treated customers. It is either...More

Would definitely recommend the 15€ set lunch! Today's offerings were rigatoni with either a tomato, a pepper and sausage or a bolognese sauce followed by steak, pork, turkey or tripe with peas, chicory or potatoes with onions! Washed down with inclusive wine or water and...More

We happened across this place by chance on a perfect sunny lunchtime in April and decided to try the all inclusive menu for 15 euro without great expectations. Nice setting with as many tables and chairs as they could find on the canal pavement. (A...More

Having eaten here twice on our trip to Venice, I can thoroughly recommend this lovely little restaurant. If you are looking to eat and drink like a local, this is the place for you. We went for lunch on both meat and fish day, and...More

Can't recommend this place enough. Depending on where you're staying, it's a bit of a trek but well worth it as the area is quieter and off the beaten track. The way this trattoria works is fantastic. On arrival and after some hand gesturing we...More

No frills joint filled with mostly locals. 15 euros gets you two courses (pasta and meat) plus wine and coffee. This place is tucked away in a side canal near Santa Lucia station, away from the tourist hordes. Good for a quick lunch.

I had a short stop in Venice on the way back from a business trip to Verona, and I googled for a place to eat near the train station. I'm glad I found this charming place that is approx. 1 km from the station. As...More

The dishes were good, I could have order this in a restaurant, penne alla carbonara, chicken loaf with mushroom / bifsteak with potatoes But really really too much oil, soaking literally in a yellow plate. Great value money with wine and coffee

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
