We were recommended Thalassa by a friend. The venue was lively and great for those wanting a good night out. There’s live entertainment which is great fun, although the place was filled with very drunk twenty-somethings, so possibly not the best for families. The venue...is extremely hot with no breeze or air con, however the main downfall was the food. We ordered a Thalassa kebab and it arrived luke warm. The kebab itself was good value, however we proceeded to be violently sick throughout the night. Thalassa is a good night out, but avoid the food at all costs. This really ruined our holiday.More

Live Show timings have been changed to only 9pm. Being covered completely during September, doesn't give you a very great view and breeze.

At first you would be delighted with the feel and ambience of the sea/back water facing restaurant. but once you settle down and get to eating the excitement would be dead. its almost always crowded for lunch. This shows the immense popularity of the place...- now diagonally opposite is the pretense of the staff that this is an exquisite restaurant. It just does not make sense - if you want to serve the masses - keep limited set menu - value for money and churn the numbers or give good experience and charge a premium. They seemed to be lost or confused. They take your id card to check age may be and keep it so that you do not run away without paying - how funny is that - they just cant manage. The first order usually comes on time - the next rounds always delayed.. you see commotion, shouting, blaming each other by staff - make you wonder if they are even caring for you. Not a very pleasant place to be when on vacation - the food portions are small, so it neither value for money. some items do taste very nice though.. so only go in if its less crowded and avoid peak eating hours :) hopefully they will care for you. Am I going back - answer is a BIG NOOOOMore

It's a beautiful place right on the sea, open on all sides, airy and spread out. Nice cocktails and quite elaborate menu. There's a live grill. We went for lunch so couldn't enjoy the live music and dance. But thoroughly enjoyed the view and food...and cocktails.More

It was a very sad experience. The food was stale, tasteless. There was nothing fresh. The meat in all the non veg dishes was smelling foul. The service was bad even though 1/10th of the total capacity was full. It was a very ordinary place...with nothing special or Greek about it. Any other normal( or below normal) shack of Goa on bad day!! To pay that kind of premium for a place this tired is a scam. Will never go and recommend anyone to visit and spoil their vacation.More

Great place to go out with friends and family for partying. Great food, drinks and ambience. Manning reservations is a must as it is very popular and gets crowded.

The place was earlier a great food spot but just doesn't stand up to the current standards of food and drinks in the siolim/assagao/ chapora area. Staff seemed totally spent and weren't particularly courteous or helpful. The food was very average and def not value...for money. This is more a night party jaunt and agreed a beautiful one ta that. The pop up shops around thalassa were every nice!More

Where’s the negative star option? Would have been easy for everyone if they had that option. Worst service. Waiters and manager both are the same… They work as if they are doing favour by serving us. The waiter had the audacity to ask me if...i had run away without paying when i went to washroom. Don’t go if you don’t want to get humiliated.More

Worst ever experience , Firstly we enter our I'd proof was asked and mobile no was taken ( so that no customer gos away with out paying the bill ) we have order food and were going around , then our waiter called me and...asked , " kahan ho sir kahan kha ke bhag gaye kya ?"" We are here sitting by the corner enjoy the sea view and the waiter asks us if we ran away without paying the bill This was the way customers are treated here after paying premium for the food and service here Kindly beware and avoid this place for a bad experienceMore

There will be casualties in the restaurant trade as a result of the current economic turmoil; I sincerely think Thallasa is one of them. I visited with my wife, sister and 2 year old daughter. I had reserved a table and was directed to a...no smoking area which we requested. The live performance which used to be highlight of previous visits has been reduced to nothing but a Mumbai dance bar vibe. The quality has gone down by many notches. The worst part of the experience was later at night when the staff allowed multiple guests to smoke in our area. Even after multiple requests the staff was not bothered and according to them they allow guests to smoke anywhere even in front of kids, in smoking zone. I pointed to a notice next to bar which mentioned no smoking zone and a fine of 200. The staff hilariously discarded it saying the notice is for the hotel staff? Where in world do you see staff smoking in a restaurant? We quickly settled our inflated bill on over-priced food and worst experience ever.More

The ambience of the place is simply amazing. Very open, by the sea. Lovely while tables and chairs. Great service. I just found the food extremely disappointing both in terms of choices for vegetarians and the quality and taste. I’ve had better Mediterranean/ Greek food...even in much smaller places than this. So I think they’re riding on their name and ambience and perhaps alcohol, but I really would not recommend this for a meal to vegetarians. It’s ok to eat here while drinking post dinner or preMore

Not the same Thalassa I visited 4 years back. It’s more of a food court with loud music , inhospitable staff and very shady vibe.

We reached without reservation on Wednesday evening and were informed that we could get a table only for 1.5 hours. This policy is to ensure that everyone gets a table. Those who reserve in advance get 2.5 hours. By the time we left, the restaurant...was far from full, with plenty of tables available. Service is inconsistent. You need to catch your servers attention for orders, repeats, water etc. Having said that, the food is excellent. We had beef gyro, slow cooked lab and a Greek lasagna… all were delicious. Service was quick. It was raining heavily so no view as plastic curtains were down. All in all the 4 stars are for the food. Rest was a mediocre experience.More
