The owner/ manager "plays" to the locals. Tourists can sense the " clique" atmosphere . The view is great and food is ok . But the " climate " is poor which is result of the arrogance of the owner/ manager. He has much to learn about long term business prosperity. In the meantime , there are so many customer... More

Instead of going inside, we asked a couple seated at a picnic-style table for 8, in the open air, if we might join them. I think that everyone (a pair from New Jersey and the 3 of us from Minnesota) is glad they said "yes." We talked about our SXM memories, the weather and, of course, restaurants and food. While... Thx for the review. Sorry about your meat, even we f@&k it up occasionally. It really is a damn good steak. In the future, let us know and we will fix it asap. Glad you had a good time otherwise. See you next time. More

This place is where you let your hair down, you can turn up dressed as you want, or not at all. No-one judges you.More variety of drinks, great food at a reasonable price.. The Fish & Chips best on the island.A must stop for anyone wanting a laugh and a cool evening.Seth always willing to engage in conversation. Both locations are... More

Breakfast was ordinary, no selection of breads for toast. They offer espresso but cups are really small. Being from Seattle and accustomed to Starbucks from the beginning I admit to being spoiled!

We spent a day travelling to St Barths on the Voyager ferry and arrived back to Oyster Pond at 6:30 PM and were both hungry. We went to the Dinghy Dock bar to have a drink and some food. Mind you we knew we were getting food that was substantial but good bar food. We were having a drink and... More

My husband and I found this place on TripAdvisor and were very happy. The drink selection was awesome, the menu was great, the waitstaff was friendly, food was delicious, prices were reasonable and WIFI worked well! My husband is a rib fan and he loved the ribs. I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. Fries were excellent too.

The signs out front say it all!! Pay no attention to the attempt of "rude" behavior. All are kind, gentle, helpful and generous! The burger is outstanding. The beer is ice cold (Carib). The staff is funny-to a fault..! "Come in, I'll get you drunk"!!

My wife and I ordered beer and nachos for lunch on a hot day. The nacho chips are homemade with guacamole and sour cream. Chile on the bottom - very yummy. Highly recommend as a snack stop! Seating is outside and a bit rustic. It's in the harbour so the view is of boats and its sheltered so quite warm.... More

Description
The Dinghy Dock Bar is a true Caribbean dive bar. Situated on a historic marina in Oyster Pond, the bar straddles the Dutch and French line sitting over the water. It's a place where high and low, locals and tourists, rub elbows and party the night away. It was originally a place to get the rowdy drunken sailor's out of the finer establishments in the area. Sit at the bar and to hear stories told, some true and many not, from around the island and around the world.

The "mix your own" happy hour is the best around. That's right, you get the bottle, glass, mixer, and make you own drink. This is also one of the best-stocked bars on the island, with the usual suspects, as well some unusual ones - even a selection of craft beers from the US for those missing a taste of home.

The kitchen makes some of the best casual bar food around, lunch and dinner. You won't find better fish and chips, ribs, burgers, wings, or anything else on the menu. Daily specials vary from goat stew to jerk pork chops to blackened grouper.

We open at 8am for coffee and fresh baked croissants. The kitchen opens around 11am and runs until you're stuffed. All are welcome - kids, dogs, iguanas, random dock critters, old and young people - provided, of course, they're up for a good time. Family friendly most of the day and night, late night is definitely more suited for the "big kids". You never know what will happen at this place. There is also live music every Sunday night and usually 2-3 other nights of the week.

Sports fan? The game is always on at the Dinghy Dock. Whether it's NFL, NHL, NBA, Soccer, College, Pro, Olympics, you name it and we will like be watching. Stop by and yell at the tvs(that's right, more than one) with us.

You are guaranteed to have a good time no matter what night you go, and once you've been there, you will be back. Maybe because you got so drunk you forgot your shoes, or maybe to do it all over again.
