Met up with a group of friends for a catch up and curry.
Great service food was quickly served and I think I can say for all of us very good - clean plates at the end.
Took our own drinks - not licensed - not a problem. Water served.
Would recommend.

I was greeted with a friendly welcome and a large menu and the welcome smile didn't diminish when I asked for tap water. The first course, a sort of mixed warm salad, looked interesting and tasted very good. For my main course I'd chosen a lamb curry which arrived on a plate looking rather unappetising but nevertheless it was tasty and plentiful. I'd ordered garlic rice and tarka dhal to accompany it. A very enjoyable meal at a very reasonable price..

We’re regulars at Spice Island, often picking up takeaways. Great guys, consistently good food.
They excelled themselves tonight (on a special celebratory occasion for us too).
Excellent, tasty piquant Achari Chicken & Tandoori Garlic Chilli Bahar.
Tandoori roti was gorgeously soft, & mopped up the curry beautifully; and the garlic rice was chock full of garlic & fried onion.

We called in from Stoke we had the Set Meal B For 2 Persons £20.95
2 Poppadoms,1 Chicken tikka pakora,1 Seekh kebab,1 Balti special,1 Tandoori chicken balti,1 Saag bhaji,1 Pilau rice,1 Plain naan, everything was cooked to perfection & very tasty we both said it was the best Indian meal we have had in years we will be returning & the waiter was very friendly you can take your own beer or wine.

This has to be the worst Indian in the whole of Telford had 3 meals Saturday 1 was Chicken Jalfrezzi (served on plate not in dish rice on smaller plate no heating plate in centre of table) asked where the peppers were and was told "somewhere in there" was Bland nothing like a Jalfrezzi also 3/4 can of coke £2.20 all 3 of us said the same we will stick to Shimla in future where the service is a lot better and food good (Was just a change Saturday to see hat it was like 1st and last)

Love to eat here whenever we fancy a curry. Take out also our first choice. You can take your own drinks/alcohol, really reduces the cost of eating out. Lovely staff. Will be returning. Recommend it to all our friends and family.

I've been using Spice Island now for over 20 years, the food is always good and staff are great, we travel about 10 miles to eat there but it's always worth the visit.

Ordered at 7.45pm told 1hr 20 wait, thought it was a long wait but thought ok it’s a Saturday night. We are now just over two hours in and still no food. We ordered a family meal for us and the kids so now the kids are still waiting for their tea at 9.50pm. Not happy, we even called them again at 9.30pm to be told 5 mins. Don’t think we will be ordering again. Not the best impression made. Can’t comment on the food as we don’t have any

We were welcomed in to eat at approximately 10:30. No one mentioned that they wanted to close at 11. Rushed through our ordering and plates cleared before we had finished our last mouthful! Bill was given to us before we asked and when I said we might like coffee they said they had run out and promptly turned on the vacuum cleaner. Also tried to insist on cash as they didn't want to use the card machine. Generally made to feel very unwelcome.

I always went here when i lived in newport and loved it but since i moved away i cant eat here as much as i would like. When im home visiting my family i always make sure i get at least a takeaway from them as they are always on form. The guys that run the resturant are fab and really chatty and id like to thank them for always being so welcoming. Keep up the good work 😁😍🥘🍚
