At first glance from the outside 'The Victoria' looks rather austere, and indeed on entering your first impressions are of plain, utilitarian hostelries from an age gone by. However, when you see the comprehensive choice of beers, and the menu notice board written in chalk on the large wall your concerns are allayed. A wide choice of food is available... More

Right by the railway station in Beeston is this lovely restaurant. We went on Friday night in early January . Still busy. The staff looked after us really well. Great atmosphere. There was a large range of food. I had the pan fried halibut - excellent. We'll be returning!

Go there regularly for the beer and less so to eat, but need to increase on the latter! The food is always of a very high standard with many old favourites & pub classics but also an eclectic mix of world dishes.

Have been here a few times now and really love the food and the atmosphere! Off the beaten track but always busy which says a lot - the food is lovely, always piping hot and freshly cooked. Would recommend finding this place and giving it a try - from the outside it looks like any other old pub but it's... More

Wide variety of drinks, although pricing can be a little unclear. Service fast and friendly. Comfortable seating areas, nice atmosphere, and an old fashioned style decor. Recommended for people who prefer a bustling atmosphere, rather than for a quiet drink.

A real old worlde style traditional pub with quirky signs, pictures and a well stocked bar with spirit and beer gems as well as real ale give this historic building a really different kind of charm. There's an ambitious menu and the food is modern, tasty yet also features traditional twists. The Sunday roast is an impressive feat and the... More

Always enjoyed meals here for years, even if the atmosphere is not always that friendly. However, a recent trip was very disappointing unfortunately. Terrible burger, on a cheap floury bun which really was not worth the inflated price. Only just OK other main course. Feel food standards have declined.

We have visited The Victoria several times and the food has always been spectacular. The menu often retains a few favourites and changes some dishes every now and again keeping the menu fresh. It's has a lovely atmosphere and a great outdoors area. It offers a fantastic selection of wines, ales and ciders. You're bound to find a perfect match... More

Went to the Vic on the spur of the moment and every seat was taken except two in the corridor. The Vic is known for good food and a wide selection of real ales, ciders and perry. We had a Cornish Blush Cider and a Perry, well we had two pints each, too good to settle for less. Stuck with... More

Quality proper boozer. No frills but well informed very helpful staff with good choice of drinks. Loved the 3 beer sampler and nice touch on the gins ordered by the ladies. Friendly atmosphere too, older clientele when we were there, which suits us fine being middle aged now! My new local...happy days
