This restaurant is a relative newcomer to the Punta del Este scene but deserves a permanent place there. Its cuisine is unlike any other in the area, it combines high quality seafood with other interesting flavors of Peruvian cuisine (quinoa, maiz, etc.) The setting is...More

Punta del Este is chic and the setting of this restaurant with a big terrace in the middle of the woods is precisely chic.

Based on the favorable reviews, mt family and I were expecting much more. It was disappointing. Good and creative Peruvian appetizers but standard entrees. Friendly staff. Instead of ordering an appetizer and an entree, just order two appetizers...

Out of words to express what I experienced at Nuna, I´m still enjoying the memory of how the Panco Shrimp tasted. Incredible how an exotic cuisine as the peruvian can excell home restaurants in a city 5000km away. Nuna´s kitchen staff is professional and dedicated...More

Description
NUNA brings a different experience to Punta del Este, both for the food and the chance of dining in a deck in the woods. The scent of eucaliptus will open your appetite! NUNA offers Peruvian cuisine. Its menu encompasses the African, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish and French influences that together configure the great fusion that Peruvian gastronomy embodies. NUNA's kitchen is led by Jaime Pesaque, one of Peru's top chefs and recommended by the San Pellegrino guide. NUNA's deck features its own herbs & spices garden to always ensure thier availability and freshness and ensures the authenticity of Peruvian flavors by training its staff in Peru and importing Peruvian ingredients. NUNA works on an open kitchen format to showcase the cooks' work and is the only restaurant in Uruguay that offers the freshest artisanal Peruvian pisco cocktails macerated with fruits and herbs. NUNA always displays the works of young Uruguayan painters for sale and offers books on Peru, Peruvian ambiance music and Alpaca wool blankets for chilly nights on the deck!
