It is several years since we last visited this pub. We are glad that we returned, the friendly atmosphere was reinforced by the good service and tasty food. The portions were very generous and none of our four ladies were able to clear their plates....More
Pub accommodated us during the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone for which we are grateful when most restaurants / pubs were full. Lovely pub with a great outside space. Fantastic range of beers as well as food. Service was great especially as they were busy....More
First visit, Lovely pub, will definately come again. Food really good with a nice waitress and friendly landlord who although busy took the time to come and talk to us at the end of our meal. Would definately recommend, cannot wait to go back again...More

We ate at The Fox for sunday lunch. The nut roast was delicious and the staff were delighful. There is seating inside and out and on a hot sunny day, it was lovely to be able to sit outside.

Would happily have been a 4 or 5 star review - nice food, friendly pub, comfortable room overnight. I can't recommend a stay though when the resident peacock keeps you up from 4am, beautiful though he may be.
Thank you for your review. Sorry he kept you awake, he's not ours, he's a resident of the village and has replaced the local cockerels in terms of the occasional dawn chorus.
