The Kindling Club are a group of drinkers who seek out a cosy pub with a fire and some good beer. The Bay Horse did not let them down. It had a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic beer and three fires! Franco and his team were superb ! Very highly recommended.

Fab pub, lovely choice of ales . I particularly like the beer that they brew themselves. Open fires. Great area for walks. Friendly staff, who encouraged tasting the beers first. What could be more enjoyable.

It was a Saturday night and totally packed! I think that speaks for itself. We will be back given that we now live within staggering distance and was one of... More

Used to drive out here from York for a meal so was saddened it had closed down. Fantastic that it has now reopened. Called in recently and it is a delightful place now - olde world decor, wooden beams, roaring log fires. Superb range of real ales and lovely welcoming service from the lady behind the bar. Just drinks at... More

The Bay Horse reopened in October 2016 after being closed for more than two years, and is fantastic! There are 7 real ales on tap (all at £2.50 a pint), plus good cider and wines. It is incredibly warm and cosy, with three real fires. The owners are Vito and Abbie from the marvellous Goodmanham Arms near Market Weighton. Vito's... More
